I want to wish you all
Happy Friendship Day
because I consider each of you a friend.
Yes it is true that most of us have never met and we may never meet, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends. Sometimes I think that is part of the problem with this world - too little friends and too many enemies - even between those who have never met!
What is Friendship Day?
Friendship Day 2013 celebrations take place on the first Sunday of August.
The tradition of dedicating a day in honor of friends began in US in 1935.
Gradually the festival gained popularity and today Friendship Day is celebrated in large number of countries. On this day people spend time with their friends and express love for them. Exchange of Friendship Day Gifts like flowers, cards and wrist bands has become a popular tradition.
So 78 years ago, we realized that being friends and celebrating that fact was important. It is something that we should be teaching our children, in both words AND actions.
In honor of today, I am having a very short and sweet giveaway for all my friends. Pass it on to all your friends so we can all be friends too. If they win, you could be their very bestest friend!
Because this is coming from me, I must make this a US only giveaway, postage is a killer!
