Merry Christmas

Let me take these few minutes to wish each of you, a very

I hope each of you are able to be surrounded by family and friends, so that you can share the good news.
The news that on this day, 2018 years ago, we were deemed by God, to be worth to have His son, our Savior, born to teach us how to love, how to be a true child of God.

And that you can share wonderful foods and drinks, as well as presents and stories and memories.

And that you might being able to see your way clear to have a few of these little gems around your table.

Aren't they just so cute??

But seriously,
Let me wish you a very Merry Christmas.
Cherish the time you get to spend with your family and friends and make this Christmas the best one yet!

Promise Me

If you have kids, no matter how old they are, you are family with Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh.

As cute as they are, sometimes they were pretty smart for a kids book characters.
Like this one where Christopher Robin was talking to Pooh.

Promise me you will ALWAYS Remember
You're Braver than you believe and
Stronger than you seem.
But most of all,
You're Smarter than you think!

We can all learn something from this, don't you think?
Maybe we should be taking some time to revisit our childhood storybooks and see what else we can learn.

Different Path

I know sometimes I wonder if I am going the right way or have I really lost my way and that thought hasn't occurred to me yet.

I bet you know that feeling too.
Everyone is doing something or not doing something and you are not following step.

I just have to remind myself

Some folks just have a different path.
That is truly one of the reasons that we are different.
Why would we all want to be the same?
Wouldn't that be boring?
We would all be drones or brain-washed ninnies.

We need to embrace our different paths and smile because we are different.
We are all going to shine in our own way - no matter which path we choose.

Black Friday?

Do you do Black Friday shopping?

I know I don't and for the most part my family doesn't.
At least not anymore, since the "kids" are no longer little "kids".
And well, not IN the stores with all the mobs.

Many do online shopping but that could be done any time and may be actually on this Friday.

So we no longer have to worry about being in the middle of these types of crowds.  No worries about being trampled on because we are in the way or God forbid in the way of that precious must have item.
They are probably very nice people ... but well those crazy sales make folks crazy!

I love that we get to spend more time with family.
We have visited historic locations.
We have visited Wineries.
We even visited a Whiskey Distillery!
We have had some great fun visiting places that don't revolve around Black Friday Sales and Mobs.

And sometimes we just stay at home and talk ....
I know WHAT??? Stay home and talk??

How about you?
What do you do on Black Friday?

Thanksgiving 2018

It has definitely been an interesting year so far, for both my family and for all the families in the United States, if not the world.  And its not done yet!

I just wanted to stop and wish everyone here in the United States a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Hopefully you all have a wonderful day filled with lots of fun and family and of course that wonderful Thanksgiving Table full of goodies!

And if you are one of those that really like to do it right ... or don't want any of your food to touch on your plate ... check out the awesome Tupperware Serving Center.
I may just have to bring one for my brother :)

Where your journey is

I sometimes have to remind myself of this.
I have found myself blaming myself for not being where I think I should be at this point in my life.
Have I not done something that I should have to move myself further along in my life?
Should I have done something differently?

I saw this one and thought this is it.
I haven't done things wrong, in total.
I may have done somethings incorrectly in the past and may again in the future, but I do believe this is telling me that even with this, there is a purpose to be found in everything that has moved me upon the journey of my life.

Have you seen this in your life?
Have you thought about this before, or is this the first time you are being asked to think about it?

Veteran's Day 2018

I know that tomorrow is the day we "officially " celebrate Veteran's Day tomorrow, but in reality we should be celebrating our Veteran's every day.

There are just so many who have served this country, and served her honorably, that we need to remember.  I'm sure you have heard this before, so much so that I'm afraid it's become a cliche BUT

Freedom isn't Free

Please, the next time you see a veteran, say thank you.
And remember that their families serve just as they do.
They too deserve your thanks.

They give up so much to make sure that we are free to do all the things that we do.
They miss holidays and family events.  They miss sicknesses, recoveries, deaths and even births with their servicemen and women.

To all those who have served, those I know and those I have not met ...
Thank you for your service.

What you plant today

I'm sure you have heard this many times before, but just a reminder from me (and to remind myself as well).

We need to remember that life doesn't always go the way we want it to go, but if we are planting the seeds in other's lives, things can be changed.  Just not always immediately.

We can't be discouraged by slow change.
We need to be encouraged by changes that we see.

Embrace the seeds that you are planting today.
Just make sure that you are cultivating and nourishing those seeds every day.

Note to our girls

Lets keep reminding ourselves and our daughters, granddaughters, nieces and even that little girl who lives next door.

We need to encourage them to be themselves and not be swayed or bullied to be what they are not.

I have always advocated for my kids, and no that doesn't mean I've been a bully where they are concerned.
BUT I have always told them that they can be and do anything that they set their mind to and to not let anyone tell them that they can't do something because they aren't "good enough".

Happy Halloween!!!

Just wanted to jump on here
 to wish everyone a very
Happy Halloween.

I hope that you have lots of cute visitors ....
And that things don't get tooo spooky

I hope that everyone has a great time making lots of stops and of course getting lots of treats.

But most of all please Be Safe!

This one has always been a favorite of mine.
You may have seen it here in a few of my Halloween Posts.

Courage Counts

Inspiration Wednesday?

So many things have been going on of late, I think we need to be reminded of the following.

Sometimes I think that people feel that once they succeed in something there is nothing left to do.  They think that they can sit back and do nothing more.  They are done.

Some feel that when they fail, they are finished.  They have nothing more to contribute.  Their failure in one thing means that they will fail in everything.

But as you can see Winston Churchill shows us that none of that matters in the long run.
It is that little thing called courage that matters most.

Love Yourself

I think that Buddha had this one right.

There are many people in the world today that only think of themselves.
They are only willing to do something if it benefits them.
Perhaps that is why we are in some of the trouble that we are in today.
Selfishness has taken over.

I do believe though, that there are still many people who think of others too much and they forget that they are important too.

If you are one of these people, please don't forget how important you are and that you deserve this too.

Have a good heart

I know how much society values beauty.
Sometimes I think that it values the exterior version of beauty and not the true version of beauty.

Look at how teens treat each other.
It is not just teens but what they are "taught" through adult actions.

Now if we could just teach them this instead ....

Let's try to teach the value of a Good Heart in everything we do.
Seems we definitely need this lesson today more than ever.

Be YOU

I think that this is perfect, especially for these days.
So many are trying to "fit in" so they aren't shunned or belittled or called crazy, unfeeling, delusional, among other things.

Think about what it says.

Do you agree?
Are you trying to stay true to yourself?

I know that I am trying, however many times I find it is just easier to stay silent, notice I am not saying I am agreeing with the craziness that is going on.

I may be copping out because staying silent is not really who I am.
I am definitely NOT politically correct.  I guess I should be standing up and start saying that I disagree with their diatribes.

It's National Coffee Day

Today is the day ...

National COFFEE DAY!!

I don't know about you ... but today (and every day for that matter) this is perfect.
I can just smell the roasted beans.

I hope you have a cup or two for me.
I know I will be on my second (or maybe third) by the time this posts.
Have you had at least one already?

Have a great Saturday
and Coffee Day!

Do you know what defines YOU?

I heard this the other day when I was binge watching one of the shows that I had really liked but was not renewed for the upcoming season.
Yes I was rather bummed about that one.

Anyway, during one of the episodes in season 3 when mom was talking to one of the agents about why she cut off contact with her she said the first part of this post that I thought was pretty profound.

As the episode was ending, and mom was apologizing, the agent spoke the second part.  Which just about blew my mind.

Sometimes even TV shows have things we can learn from and not just escape from our daily grind.

You are defined
by the sum total
of your decisions.

Not
the last bad decision
you made.

What do you think?
Does it ring true to you, as it does to me?

Everyone makes a bad decision from time to time.
IF we learn from those bad decisions we are can move on and become a better person.

Finding your joy

What can I say, I'm in an inspirational mode at the moment.
I guess that means I am needing a little inspiration for myself.

I think this one is especially relevant when you are starting to think that what you wanted and worked so hard to get just isn't what you thought it would be.

I know a few people that this could be very appropriate for.
They just couldn't seem to find that "niche" that they wanted to be in.
They had tried for years to find that "perfect fit" ... and thought they had landed the dream.

Now they aren't so sure.

It time for them to stop looking so far ahead that they miss the perfectness of what they have and what they have done.  Sometimes when we try to make things happen we miss what good has already happened to us.

Thanks to FindingJoy and The Brave Art of Motherhood for the reminders.  I've seen some really great things there.  May even see more from time to time.

It's a new Mid Month Brochure for Tupperware!

I do love to share here the mid month brochures each month.
I know I have been lax this year, but so much has happened to my family, that my blog and businesses have suffered.  Sorry.

BUT it is time for the Mid September brochure to come out ... as always there are items that are only available or only available at this price for a short time.

One of the things I really love about this brochure are the Modular Mates.  They are usually on sale in January when everyone is trying to do their New Years Resolutions to get organized or eat better so they stock up on healthier grains and snacks and such.

Remember these are only available for a few weeks at this price so unless you want to wait until January (and hopefully they will have a sale then) grab these from my Tupperware Site before they are gone!

These are the rest of those items that are in the Mid September brochure ... and I have to say the Halloween stuff is FANTASTIC for the kids!  The tumblers and snack cups are soooo cute!
If you are having a party, the big orange bowl is a must.  Halloween treats for everyone or if you aren't going out ... how about a popcorn bowl for the movies watching scary movies??

I also like the orange canister with the carolier as the perfect Trick or Treat container.  No losing things because of a hole in the bag ... and because it has a black seal, the candies will stay safe when you try to get the kids to go easy on the candy and not inhale it all in 1 night!

Oh how I love everything in this brochure, but another must have is the mandoline.  I have had mine for a few years and use it often.  Its perfect for salad days, cucumbers and carrots are a breeze.  Taking corn kernels off of the cob was something I actually figured our this year.
How about shredding cabbage?  Yes its perfect for that too.
I've even used it to evenly slice apples.

At this price ... its a steal!

Remember we also just started our Fall/Holiday catalog so you need to scroll through our online brochure (also found on my Tupperware Site, left side Catalog tab).  You can order from either or both catalog and brochure together, just make sure if you are looking for things in the short term portion of the Mid September brochure you don't miss the end date!

If you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a message or message me on Facebook.

Do you consider yourself Successful?

Sometimes you have to be reminded of the important "definitions" of words to see where you fall.

Are you a successful person?
Do you inspire others or is it all about you?

You may think these two don't really go together, but if you think about it they really do.

How do you become successful if you don't inspire others to do something ... and then look for an opportunity to help them?

Really if you are helping them, aren't you helping yourself as well?

Let me know what you think?
Are you Successful?
Are you a successful helper?

Let us not forget those who we lost

Let us keep them alive in our hearts and minds.
So many were lost.  Mothers, Fathers, Sisters and Brothers.
Aunts and Uncles who have missed out on so many milestones.

So many have had to go forward with their lives without loved ones.

Many who are alive today do not remember this day.
Many who are alive today were not even born on this day.

For those of us who were within the shadow of the city, who to this day miss the sight of those towers, miss friends and family members who were lost this day, we will never forget.

For us, there will never be a day that we will forget this day.

9/11/01 - 9/11/18

God Bless the families of those who were lost.
God Bless the United States of America.
Today and Every Day.

Male or Female??

I know I know.
I've been cleaning out some things and found this in the mix...

Now if my kids read this they will probably just roll their eyes, but we obviously kept this for a reason.
So I figured it must be something I wanted to share.

Male or Female
What Sex are they?

Ziploc Bags
Male, because they hold everything in, but you can always see right through them

Shoes
Male, because it is usually unpolished, with its tongue hanging out

Copier
Female, because once turned off, it takes a while to warm up

Tire
Male, because it goes bald and often is over inflated

Hot Air Balloon
Male, because to get it to go up anywhere, you have to light a fire under it.  And of course, there's the hot air part.

Sponges
Female, because they are soft and squeezable and retain water.

Subway
Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up.

Hourglass
Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom

Hammer
Male, because it hasn't evolved much over the last 5,000 years, but it is handy to have around

Remote Control
Female.
I know you thought I was going to say male, BUT consider this.
It gives men pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying.

The person you are today.

Some powerful words here.

Sometimes we get so overwhelmed with our problems that we forget that we are suppose to learn from these struggles.

And I believe most of us do - even if we don't realize it at the time.

If nothing else, they teach us to be strong.
Strong for others.
Strong for ourselves.

Tupperware Sale that is good for one week only

I'm actually liking these 1 week only sales.
They are giving some great deals and things keep moving.
I'm not sure if its because we are celebrating our 70th year of Parties or its the summer or what ... but I'm loving it!

This week is a great back to school option with some pieces that I love

The Impressions bowls are great for so many things ... but we love to use them for salads.
The big bowl is great for green salads, the middle bowl works for our potato salad and the little bowl works great for our macaroni salad.  Now there are only 3 of us at home for most meals now, so if you have a BIG family you might have to change things up a bit, but its a great starting point.

The mini rice maker was a staple for us when my daughter was in college.
Made some super easy and quick rice that I sometimes still use today.  Especially if its just 1 or 2 for dinner.

The Thirstquake Tumblers are great for those big glasses of iced tea that the summer just asks you to have.

If you are interested in any of these, you can head on over to my Tupperware Site and grab them.  But remember its only available for this week (ends on Friday August 3rd) or while supplies last.

Tupperware Mid July 2018

Have you been wondering what happened to Tupperware posts?
Well you may or may not know how difficult things have been for me this year so I'm doing a restart with the Mid July Tupperware brochure.

If, like me, you LOVE Tupperware Modular Mates .. this is for you.
But you need to hurry because the sale ends July 27th ... so you won't see prices like these again until maybe January!

Now if you are getting ready for school lunches or want to update your own lunches this is the mid month (July) brochure for you.

I love these pieces.  I have the complete set of 5s (the Zero Waste Get it All Set) so that I can do my own portion control meals when I am putting my "planned overs" away.

The Cereal Bowls are great for making overnight oatmeal ... we've been doing that for a while now but the Big Wonder bowls are good too.

You can check out all of these and so much more on my Tupperware Site.

If you have questions...just ask.
If you are interested in joining in on the fun ... you can check out on my Tupperware Site and click Join Us.

Who isn't thinking?

I have again been thinking that I haven't done a post in a while so when I opened a book to start reading for a review and saw this quote that is attributed to George S Patton

If everyone is thinking alike,
then somebody isn't thinking

I thought yes this is definitely something to write about.

While I haven't been blogging, I have been checking on friends/acquaintances on Facebook.
Now that could be a real problem, or a big eye opener.

Have you been looking at your social media page or pages and wondering what happened?
I know I have.

I am seeing friends turn on each other.
I've heard of friends - real friends, in "real" life, turn on each other so badly that they will no longer speak or even go to the same functions.

What has happened to us?
And please don't just say "Trump".
He is NOT the problem.

Something else is going on.
Is it because we no longer think for ourselves?
Are we puppets?
Are we just "following the crowd"?

When did we become so entitled that WE are the ONLY ones that can have an opinion?  And if someone else has an opinion that is not exactly the same as ours THEY are WRONG.

Can we please stop yelling at each other, stop yelling over top of each other and LISTEN, HEAR and THINK?

Please stop with the entitled mindset.
Please stop taking single comments from people, and I am talking about Congresspeople, Actors, Actresses, Teachers, or your Friends and Neighbors as Gospel.

THINK about what was said.
RESEARCH about what was said.

Make your OWN opinion about what was said.

Let's stop the circle of "the Squeaky Wheel" gets the attention and gets to make everyone do what THEY WANT.  Somehow that just strikes me as giving in.  Becoming a narrow minded person.  And quite frankly reminds me of how people in some other countries were described when I was in grade school.

We have been given the FREEDOM to THINK for ourselves and to express those thoughts without fear.
STOP giving away that FREEDOM that was given to you by extremely passionate and important people ... VETS.
Many of whom gave the ultimate, their lives, to give you that FREEDOM.

So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Honor those who have given us that right and START THINKING for yourself and STOP following the crowd.

Oh my Where have I been?

I guess I really need to apologize for my absence.  I never expected to be gone so long.

I was looking for something on my blog and saw that I have only done 7 posts this year!
Now if you are a follower of my blog, you know that is just not me.

So where have I been?

We have had some really difficult days, weeks, months this year within the family.

My MIL had some medical issues at the beginning of the year ...
It actually started within the first week of January.

We thought we were getting a handle on things and although January was difficult, we thought we had turned a corner.

Then came February.

February brought more difficulties and more hospital stays.
Again we thought ok we can handle this.
We can and will get through this and everything will be good.
Yes things will change but sometimes change can be good.

So between tax season starting and dealing with her medical issues, I had very little time for anything.  Heck I didn't get my Christmas Tree down until sometime in February ... I guess we thought maybe we could freeze time.

March was another month.  Another month where we thought we had a handle on things and to be honest, we thought things were looking up.

Then came April and we knew that things would never be the same and that this change was not good.

So now it is almost July and I am just now getting ready to start blogging again.
I am looking for things to blog about.
Things that I am or can be passionate about.
Things that I find that I like, or dislike, and want to share.

I almost feel like I am a new blogger.
Its that indecision, the doubt that I can share things that people want to read about.

Hopefully when I writing and put up a post, there will be people who are interested and will give me their thoughts as well.

If there is something that you would like to read about, something you would like to see me look into or review, let me know.

I will also let you know about some of the things that are available from Tupperware and LimeLife by Alcone.  Yes, I am still a representative for these companies, and still love the products although as noted above, have not had much time for them either.

Hopefully they understood and allow me time to ramp back up.  So far so good.

Please look for me ... I promise I will try and do things worthy of your time.

It's Saturday!

It's another day,
another chance to take over the world!

But  ....
I must drink some coffee,

and get out of my fuzzy bunny slippers first;

I'll keep you posted.
But you know, I might just take the weekend off ...
Cause there is always Monday to set my plan in motion..
