What true friendship is

I think I've heard this so many times from "little" kids.
Oh she's my best friend.  She's my bestest friend.
Sally is my bestest friend, you know she is right mom?

When I just heard this discussion the other day in the grocery store, my thoughts went to what IS the meaning of a best friend?  Can you have more than 1 best friend?

As we grow older, go away to school or our parents move us because of job changes or whatever, even our "bestest" friends can be separated from us.  But that doesn't mean that our "bestest" friends have left us.

I know I've had this happen, so its not just a saying.
But true friends are friends forever, because no matter how many miles separate you - when you get together again, you can pick up on each others thoughts, and it is like you have never been separated for even 1 day.

Oh and that question I asked about having more than 1 ?? Of course you can.  Sometimes its because its a "different" time and you or they need someone "different" to get through that time.

But lets face it ...
if you have more than one best friend -
you are pretty LUCKY.

Happy Thanksgiving 2014

It is that time again.
The day that we give thanks for all the things that we have been given.
The day that we look for the GOOD inside everything that is happening around you.

I wanted to make sure, as I was getting ready to celebrate with my family, that I wished each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

And just because you know I love my Tupperware .....

So cute!  Perhaps tomorrow all those Turkey's can come out of hiding for another year.

Maxine and My New Favorite Winter Sport

I saw this one a few months ago and just knew I had to save it for this day.  I mean they are calling for a Turkey Surprise .... and to say I'm not happy is an understatement!

I don't usually mind the cold ... I mean I'm not a fan of the cold, but it is easier to bundle up and sit by the fire or under a blanket to fight off the Winter Chill.

But when it comes to the White Stuff, yes that is my term for that horrific stuff that falls during the winter months and makes the roads a nightmare, can make travel nearly impossible,
that 4 letter word
you know as
SNOW

Maxine seems to have the same feelings
and has come up with a new Winter Sport
I'm thinking its pretty good.

What do you think?

I mean if the "predictions" are correct its going to be a horrible winter.
Time to start "feathering" our nest!

I just had to add this one too since I've been seeing my "favorite" event word described as an acronym.

Thank you Status Shuffle!

Shrimp for the holidays anyone?

I know we love shrimp in this house.  We haven't made it as much as we would like to but I know that I will be making it more often now that I have the PERFECT tool for making shrimp dishes in my MICROWAVE.

This looks AWESOME for a wonderful dinner with that special someone or for hors d'oeuvres for those holiday get-togethers that we always seem to "fret" over.

I could see your guests oohing and aahing when you bring these to the table. You could just smile and know that it didn't take you any at all to make these beauties.

If you would like to have your very own Smart Steamer by Tupperware to make these any time you want .. check out my Tupperware website.  You can have your own party and earn some free Tupperware as well - message me if you are interested, because if I set it up - you could earn even more!

It's not about what you lost

I saw this a little while ago on my Cousin Fran's Facebook page.
I just knew I had to copy it and share because I think that everyone can take something from this - whether each piece in what was lost "fits" in your life right now or not.
It could in the future.
So please, read and think about it.
It really is VERY powerful, if you let it be.

It's not what you lost.

I've lost a parent
I've lost relationships
I've lost jobs
I've lost businesses

But I never lost my passion for life.

Life is amazing on so many levels
but you can only feel the power when you're in the game.

When you play small, trying to live by other's standards, life feels boring.

You feel trapped.
You become envious of others who are happy because they had the courage to play bigger than you.

When you experience a significant loss like the ones above,
you want to play the victim card.

Don't do it.

No matter how much you want to feel sorry for yourself,
it's a lose-lose proposition.

Life can be difficult
Integrity can be difficult.

Parenting can be difficult.
Leading can be difficult.

Family dynamics can be difficult.
Friendships can be difficult.

God never promised comfort,
He promised to be comforting.

There's plenty of victims in this world.
Some know how to play the role very well.

Then there are victors.
These are the people who understand you need to travel through the valley to reach the mountaintop.

Victims camp out in the valley and never leave.

Victors keep plowing forward,
taking others with them to the top.

Dream big today and then do something about it.
Anything.

Playing small is not an option.
Being a victim is not an option.

Tell your doctor about your problems,
not the market place.

We want to know where you're going,
not where you've been.

Life is an amazing journey with ups, downs, setbacks and triumphs.
Drink it all in and enjoy each and every bit of it,

Because some day it will all be gone.

What do you think?  Is this not a powerful piece?

It was originally copied by my cousin from Sam Crowley's Facebook page - not sure if he wrote it or found it and put it on his page.  But this is the only "credit" I can give.
Thank you Sam for sharing - I'm trying to extend its reach!

Tupperware Seasons Brightest Savings for the week of Nov 22nd

This is an AWESOME deal on my Tupperware Site for those of us who are looking for something for those people who don't "need" anything.

I love the idea of using a Mega Thatsa Bowl to hold movie night ideas.  Fill with microwave popcorn, candies like you can get at the movie theater, soda and of course the movie!

How about adding the corkscrew to the Mega Thatsa Bowl with some crackers and cheese and a few apples or pears and a bottle of wine and cute towel or coasters?

The breakfast maker is so great for breakfast (obviously) but how about an individual brownie snack?  I can think of all kinds of things to make with this one from omelets and eggs (bet you could make 2 egg mcmuffin type sandwiches in there too) to muffins and more.

I use my microwave cereal bowls for oatmeal and granola.  I don't have to worry about a mess in the microwave the same way I do with a "regular" mug or bowl.  AND because it has a great seal I can take these to work to warm/cook in the microwave there and never have to worry about not having breakfast!

Any of these could be added to the Mega Thatsa Bowl to have a "party in a bowl" to give as a holiday gift or a house warming gift!

There are so many wonderful options available on my Tupperware Site.  Check it out!  Each piece is discounted for this week only (Nov 22 to Nov 28) or you can get the entire set for $70, which is a savings of $50! You could take this entire set and break it into separate gifts ... stocking stuffers .... or keep it for yourself, yes you could do that too, its that good a deal!

You could use the suggestions above, get the entire set plus some "extra" Mega Thatsa Bowls and have some great gifts.

Have questions?  Message me and I will try and help.
Just remember this great deal ends at midnight November 28th!

ABC's 25 Days of Christmas

I always like to check out some of the things that are available to watch during the Christmas season, that starts AFTER Thanksgiving!

ABC Family has the answer for some great program ideas.

Get your calendar's out so you can mark off the programs you want to watch - so there isn't any conflict later.

Thank you ABC Family for once again providing us with some great shows to watch that are FAMILY shows.

I can see some great evenings curled up in our "Jammies" watching these shows with some hot chocolate and cookies.

Smile. It could make everyone happy

What do you think.  Have you had this experience?

I know I love doing this, but I will admit sometimes I have to "pinch" myself to remember to smile as I am walking down the street.

Sometimes they other people I pass look really strange, like they are trying really hard to figure out why I am smiling.
Other times, they do break out in a smile too --- and then we both know we are part of something special.

And then there are other times that it really drives them crazy, because they have NO IDEA why I am smiling and of course they WANT to know!

You should try it ...

You might just make everyone you meet feel just a little bit better
OR
You could drive them all crazy

Your choice!

PearlMountain CollageIt Pro Offer!

I was approached by Candy from PearlMountain to share this great offer with you, during the upcoming Thanksgiving period.  I'm looking at this as an awesome way to make some precious home-made Holiday gifts.

You could start making your holiday gifts NOW and not have to worry about the Black Friday crowds!  I'm all for that.

To thank all the customers' generous and continuous support, PearlMountain is launching a big special offer for CollageIt Pro for the upcoming Thanksgiving Day. From now to Nov.30, every interested people can enjoy the big discount offer here.

CollageIt Pro is an automatic and easy to use collage maker to create eye-catching collages in no time on both Windows & Mac. It is normally priced at $29.90, now only $9.90 during this Thanksgiving Sale, saving $20. Besides the highlighted features of ease of use, unlimited layouts, diverse templates and multiple output options in the former version, there are many more features in its newly updated Mac version. Just take this chance to try it out.

This looks like a great deal to keep all those precious pictures safe AND to be able to share or gift to grandmom and grandpop.

I know when my kids were little, I had all kinds of pictures that I wish I could have created a collage with ... that weren't just pictures stuck in a frame.  Now there is nothing wrong with doing that but after a while, the pictures or the backing seems to "curl" and then you have to re-do them (talk about being a royal pain).

As I said, this looks like a great deal, but it is only available until November 30th so you need to hurry.  I can see some great holiday gifts being created with this one.

Zep - for when Cleaning is Required

I have been running around for the past few days getting things "settled" for a Vendor Show for Tupperware, getting some tax information/clarification for other's not mine, and some other normal day to day things and really haven't been home to do a lot more than "drop and run".

Thankfully I had the opportunity to try out Zep Cleaning Products because my stove looked like who did it and ran (thanks family) after the last cooking project. Now this wasn't the fault of one person, but since they didn't clean up after themselves, or at least it sure doesn't look like it, This was even worse then I've ever seen it!
Here was my stove this weekend ....

Yuck .... and of course some of it on the burner area was "baked" on so it was a really difficult test.

What I really liked about this product (Zep All-Around Cleaner and Degreaser) other than the fact that it really did work, was that it didn't require a huge amount of "muscle"  It really was as easy as spray, wait a minute or two, and wipe.

Because of the fact that it was "covered" with splatters and spills, some of which I bet were there for a while, it did take two passes to clean.  That burned on stuff in the upper left corner ... needed some elbow grease and a Brillo pad, but again I bet that wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't cooked and recooked before it was cleaned off.

I have a stainless steel boarder / lip on the front of my stove that I always have trouble with cleaning - requiring something different from the stove cleaner to keep it from looking splotchy.  That is until I used the Zep - I used the same cleaner on the stainless and wiped it "with the grain" and it was fine.
That means one less thing I have to buy to clean the stove.  I'm all for that.

If you have some tough stuff to clean or want to know that it quickly clean virtually any surface you need to check out Zep All-Around with Oxy!

I would definitely recommend this product.

I also got to try the Quick Clean Disinfectant that kills 99.9% of bacteria in 5 seconds that cuts through grime and kills cold and flu viruses.  This one is great and I even gave one of the bottles to my daughter to take back to school for their bathrooms and kitchen area --- definitely don't need germs around the college kids while finals are just around the corner.

I really liked this one as well - but because its not as easy to see - the All-Around Cleaner & Degreaser was the best to show the effects.

I will definitely be getting more of these products to use around my home.

Holiday Gifts Delivered to your door - or theirs!

Just wanted to share this opportunity for some great gifts from Tupperware for this upcoming holiday season but ... the first one ends on Friday so you need to hurry.

This would be great, especially the smaller one, for your emergency kit to keep in your car.  The bigger one could be a bigger emergency kit too but I'm thinking of some great holiday decoration keepers ... Check them out on my site.

This one gives some more ideas for those folks that you have no idea what to get but know they have some special "loves", you know we all have one or two of these type of folks.
The base for these gifts are available on my Tupperware Site.  You don't want to wait too long though, especially if you want to have them under the tree ...

Shipping for the holidays is always crazy, but we at Tupperware are trying to make it a bit easier for you.  See the detail of the States on the Groupings above.
If look at the schedule above, if you have:

It's Tupperware's Mid November Brochure

It's that time again ... the new mid month brochure is available today at Tupperware!  You can check out all of these on my Tupperware Site.

I know there are so many things that are available, you might be overwhelmed and need some suggestions.

Well here you go, some Yule time Shopping Strategies / Suggestions for those you just don't know what would be a perfect gift.

I hope that you will visit my Tupperware Site and do at least some of your holiday shopping. We have all kinds of great things for everyone in the family.

If you are a crafty one, who loves to make your own gifts from the kitchen, you might want to check out our Spaghetti Keeper.  I know you think what is she talking about?

How about all those cookies or brownies in a jar?  I know I love those, but I am always afraid that the jar will get knocked off the counter or off the shelf and all my hard work will have gone to waste AND nobody will get to use the fruits of my labor.  The Spaghetti Keeper by Tupperware works PERFECTLY for these - the seal keeps everything fresh AND no worries about cracks/breaks.  Oh and when they have made your recipe .. they can keep spaghetti in them!  And of course they will then think of you every time they have spaghetti for lunch or dinner.

See its a win - win!
I hope you will consider checking out my Tupperware Site and making your life a little less hectic this holiday season.

As always, when I have $175 in online orders each month, I will select 1 lucky purchaser to receive a gift from me ... pretty sweet don't you think?

Looking for the 7 Wonders of the World?

Sometimes I think we get too involved in what we are doing or trying to do, that we forget that not everything is "old hat", not everything has been seen or imagined by that person sitting right next to you.

Sometimes we have to look at things through the eyes of a child to see what is really around us.

Think about that the next time you get bogged down in the "little things".
Think about this when you can't see the forest for all the trees ...

Think about this when you are putting together your bucket list and add "Visit the 7 Wonders of the World".  But then again, shouldn't this be on your bucket list?

Trust me Everything WILL be ok ...

I really think this one says it all
When you are feeling down
When you think things will never get better,
Remember this little guy....

It's Veterans Day

Have you thanked a Veteran today?
We should be thanking them each and every day
but since today is
Veteran's Day

Saying thank you is such a
small thing
compared to what you won for us
with your
service and sacrifice.

BioGanix Yacon Root Extract

I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of BioGanix 100% Pure Yacon Root Extract to try and review.

When I originally looked into this product I thought their claims were a little "over the top", but then most of the weight loss products do that.
  • Safely support weight loss
  • Supplement for Healthy Digestion and Regularity
  • Rich in Antioxidants
  • Increases Metabolism and Curbs Appetite
  • Fights Free Radicals to stay healthy longer
  • Maintain Healthy Blood Sugar Levels
  • Combats Insulin Resistance
  • Promotes Liver Health
Like I said - some really heavy claims for this little "pill".

I liked that the "pill" was in the form of a capsule that wasn't horrifically big or difficult to swallow and did not get "stuck" as is sometimes a problem.  I know I've seen some other capsules or caplets that look like "horse-pills", so that many people have to shy away from the product.  I'm an not one of them but even I have trouble swallowing some of those when they are the "horse-pill" size.

I can affirm that the supplement does help with healthy digestion and regularity. I know there are times that I have to stop taking "healthy/diet" pills or decrease my fiber intake because I would become so constipated that I would literally be in pain.  With this product, I never once felt like I was going to be in trouble.

Although I didn't really lose the weight that I had hoped, I can say that it did curb my appetite and even while traveling, I did not gain any.  And that in and of itself is a HUGE success in my book.  When you are traveling you are either having no control over what you eat or you are tempted with all kinds of sugars and sweets and fats and such.  I think whenever I travel I always come home a pound or two (or three) more than when I left.  Not this time.  I was ecstatic that I did not gain anything this time, and I believe it was because of the BioGanix Yacon Root Extract.

I still have a few capsules left in the original bottle (60 capsules - take 2 per day) and will finish this bottle and see how I feel once I am no longer taking it.  Did my hunger return in full force?  Am I finding that "irregularity" is returning?  If that is the case, as others have reported, I will be purchasing this product again.  This is the first product that I can honestly say that did accomplish many of its claims and I did not experience any negative side effects.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free from BioGanix by using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Miracles ... Real or Myth?

The nicest place to be is in someone's THOUGHTS !
The safest place to be is in someone's PRAYERS !
And the best place to be is
in GODS HANDS !!

Guess you can tell what I think about miracles.

How about you?
Real or Myth?

Yes I am worthy and so are you

Sometimes we just have to stop and think about it
and then stop beating ourselves up.

Time to start reflecting on how great we really are!

Are you ready?

Good things are about to come YOUR way!

Pep talk

Sometimes we all need to have a pep talk

We need someone to give us a hug and make us believe it will all work out.
When you feel like the whole world is against you.
When you feel like everyone has something to say about you and what you do...

Ok Jenn ... are you seeing this?

Did you VOTE?

I know this could be leading to a personal question but I won't go there, I only ask ...
Did you or are you going to VOTE??

I know its "just" the
But you really should be part of the process.
You need to be trying to make a difference, and one of the things you can do to make a difference, is by voting in people who you believe will be the BEST for the Country or your State.  It may just be one vote - but each vote counts. Each vote CAN make a difference.
It's not difficult, IF you are prepared and have researched the candidates and know what THEY stand for. Then you can go in and "Check the box" for the one you believe is best.  Sometimes it means selecting the better of the two or the lesser of two "evils", but if you have done your research, you will know which to chose.

The polling booths in my town are open until 8 tonight, but I didn't want to be part of the final rush, since I'm not working today, I went over and did just what I have asked you to do.

I hope you have made an educated vote that will help your town or State.  I know I have.

I exercised the right that has been given to me by the hundreds of thousands of American soldiers who have fought for that right, to them -
I THANK YOU.

Now I hope you all have exercised that right or will before the end of the day.
And if you happen upon a soldier thank him or her for their service

Don't Worry

I know you thought I was going to say

Don't Worry,
Be Happy.
Right?
Do you remember that song?  Or are you too young for that?

But seriously.
What does worry do?
It really just makes you too anxious to enjoy all the good things that are going on around you.
It certainly doesn't make whatever you are worrying about any better.

So .... Don't worry.

Everything happens for a reason (even if we don't know what that reason is)
Everything will work its way out ........... eventually.
