It's Halloween!

Yes it is that time again when all the ghosts and goblins and pumpkins and more are out and about.

I love seeing pictures of my friends kids and grandkids all dressed up for this kids holiday.

I remember when kids were allowed to be kids for this holiday and not worry about being politically correct.  You know like the Peanuts Gang.

Or the cute little furbabies that you can see posing for pictures.

But I also like to see some of the "funnies"
so I had to share these that I have seen

Don't hate me for these ...

Hope you have a wonderful day filled with all kinds of fun things and maybe just a few visitors to your door.

Enjoy!

A Limelight Holiday Bonanza!

I hope yall know I love my Tupperware, but you should also know by now that I am in LOVE, yes I said it, in LOVE with my Limelight by Alcone products.

Our skincare line is Leaping Bunny certified so now others can know that it is even more wonderful.  It is
SKIN CARE that is free of harmful chemicals.
I know that my skin has been so much clearer (yes even at my age you can suffer from breakouts) and softer.

Our makeup line is a Professional quality that you no longer need to be a Professional Makeup Artist to get.  I love knowing that I am using the same products that Actors and Actresses use in their professional lives ... ie working their craft.  Because lets face it, if it is good enough for them - I should be able to use them too because I am pretty special and so are YOU.

I love the look of the new lip liner colors.

They are wonderful addition to the Onxy line that has these great lip colors as well as an amazing eye color pallet.  They are bold and beautiful and well just awesome.  I really love the creaminess of these but know that I don't need to worry about them "wearing" off early.  I can't wait to be using mine.

But another great boom for me will be released this week.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE eye shadows.  I guess its because I think that the eyes truly are the windows of the soul, so it is the first place I look and when you can "dress up" the windows it's a definite plus for me.

These colors look outstanding!

And of course the packaging is going to be looking pretty special too.

Now if lips are more your thing ... or if you just like to have special lippy colors too.  There will also be an awesome lip collection just for the holidays.

It will include 8 of the enduring lip colors (ELC) and 8 of the fabulous glosses in mini!  And of course the packaging will be amazing too!

But if you don't want to have all of these products, even in a mini form, you can get a "tree ornament" that is 1 ELC and 1 gloss.  Or if you have more than 1 special person and want to spread the wealth around, these hangers will be perfect.

Oh and just because they are "minis", don't be fooled, they will last a very very long time!  All of our products are so highly pigmented that a little goes a long long way.

To make it easier for you to grab these products for the holidays I set up a Holiday Party  that I will have open until Nov 17th.

Remember, you can grab these holiday pieces and so much more at this party.  I know there are all kinds of things going on so you could end up with seeing some of these new products today and some on Thursday and maybe more next week ... I'm excited and I hope you will be too.

Snacks for Snow Season

When I first started thinking about holiday get-togethers this winter, I thought about what I can do that is a little different from the norm.

This would definitely be unexpected, but would also be very easy to have ready for any "drop in" visitors.  And you could use this as a base idea and then make it your own, with the things you like.

I can also see these as big hits in your kids lunch boxes, just make sure you won't have any issues with "banned" foods based on your district.

Yield: 16
Serving Size: 1 snack cup

Ingredients

  • 24 oz. white chocolate baking pieces
  • 6 cups rice or corn square/checkered cereal or mixture
  • 1 cup mini pretzels, any variety
  • 1 cup plain or honey-roasted peanuts
  • 12 oz. mini candy-coated chocolate candies

  1. In the TupperWave® Stack Cooker 3-Qt. Casserole, place baking pieces.

  5. Remove from microwave, let stand 1 minute, stir until smooth.

Candy Corn Rice Krispy Treats

I saw these the other day on my Tupperware site, and thought oh me there are going to be some really happy little people out there.  And then I thought all those folks that aren't fans of Candy Corn might like these too ...

I can see these being a big hit at a Halloween party ... or just for your kids lunches!

Yield: 8
Serving Size: 1 slice (about ¾ cup)
Ingredients
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 3 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 4 drops yellow food coloring, divided
  • 3 drops red food coloring
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat marshmallow, butter and vanilla over medium-low heat until melted and well combined, about 3 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine rice cereal, pour marshmallow mixture over cereal and stir to combine.
  3. Divide cereal mixture between 3 large bowls.
  4. Wearing food-safe gloves, mix 2 drops of yellow food coloring by hand into 1 bowl of the cereal; set aside.
  5. Mix 2 drops of yellow and the red food coloring together with another bowl of rice cereal; set aside.
  6. Divide the 2½-cup Medium Shallow Rectangular Freeze-It® PLUS container visually into thirds, lengthwise.
  7. Fill each third of the container with each color of the rice cereal mixture, pressing firmly into place, to create a white strip, orange strip and yellow strip.
  8. Refrigerate until firm.
  9. Unmold onto a cutting board and cut diagonally into triangles.
  10.  Place in festive cellophane bags for the holidays.

Turbulence

Lately I've been doing a lot of Chinese take out (don't judge me) for lunch or dinners.  You know you have a dinner ordered and have at least 1 more meal (hence lunch).  Please tell me I am not the only one that does this.

This is one of the fortunes from a recent fortune cookie.

Turbulence is a life force.
It is an Opportunity.
Let's love Turbulence
and make it the Opportunity
to make changes.

I think this one came to be mine at just the right time, for just the right reasons.
You see, I've been contemplating some changes.
I'm just not sure what that change will be.

You may know that I am an accountant, a CPA.
You should also know that I am in direct sales.
I have a Tupperware account, because I love my Tupperware.
I have a Limelight by Alcone account, because I really like the natural skin care that is Leaping Bunny certified and because I LOVE makeup.  And with the Limelight makeup I am, I think, getting pretty good.
I also have an account with Pruvit.  They do the Keto//OS supplements that are helping me as I try to do a Keto friendly diet.

But my "turbulence" comes from internal sources.
I really love the products.
But I don't know if I am a "sales" person.
Have my sales come from my "selling" or because people want the products and I am "there"?

How do you know when its time to quit?
How do you know which is the right way to go?

Are any of you in direct sales?
How did you know what product was for you?
If you are no longer in direct sales, why did you stop?

Good morning

Let's get this day started ....

What is going on in your life?
What new adventure are you starting this week?

Can you believe it is already the middle of October?
Where did the year go?

I probably should have added this at the beginning of the year, but lets get our thoughts started now.  That way IF you haven't started your adventure already - you could start putting things into place so that you will have everything ready for the new year.

What do you think?
Is it a plan?

Friday, October 13, 2017

Yup that's right it IS Friday ... the 13th

Are you superstitious?

Are you scared yet?

Do you have any "bad" memories of this day?
Share so we can all feel like we can tackle anything ... 'cause obviously you did.

Just a thought

With so many feeling like they need a miracle ...

And, yes sometimes I am included in that comment.

I do try to remember all the wonderful people and things that I have in my life.
And remember that miracles happen when we need them most, but also when we are grateful and thankful for those things that we do have.

Let's face it ... why should we be given more if we aren't happy and grateful for what we do have.
Sometimes its just that little thought when we see folks that are in a situation that is worse off than our situation ...
But for the Grace of God, go I

Chocolate "to die for" Brownies

Don't know about you, but sometimes I just have this "craving" for something rich and creamy and of course chocolate.
I think this one from my Tupperware site fits the bill.

Yield: 16
Serving Size: 1 brownie
Ingredients
    For the brownies
  • 2 cups milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp. brewed coffee or espresso
  • ¼ tsp. coarse kosher salt
  • 4 eggs
    For the Buckeye topping
  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp. coarse kosher salt
  • 1 cup milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 1 cup chopped peanuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325° F.
  2. In the ¾-Qt. Stack Cooker Casserole, stir together chocolate chips, heavy cream, butter, vanilla, coffee, and salt. Microwave 45 seconds. Remove from microwave, let stand 2 minutes; stir until smooth.
  3. In the base of the Power Chef® System with paddle attachment, add eggs. Cover and pull cord until well beaten. Remove cover, add 2 spoonfuls of chocolate mixture to eggs, cover and pull cord until well mixed. Add remaining chocolate mixture and pull cord until well mixed.
  4. Transfer chocolate mixture to the UltraPro 2-Qt. Square Pan. Place pan in oven. Bake 25 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center of the brownies comes out clean. Remove pan from oven; let stand.
  5. Meanwhile, make the Buckeye toppings. In the ¾-Qt. Stack Cooker Casserole stir together peanut butter, powdered sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla, and salt. Microwave on high power 30 seconds or until soft and spreadable. Spoon mixture over brownies; using a knife spread evenly over brownies.
  6. In the large 2-cup Micro Pitcher add chocolate chips and cream. Microwave 45 seconds; let stand 1 minute, stir until smooth. Pour chocolate over peanut butter, spread evenly. Sprinkle top with peanuts, gently press into chocolate.
  7. Refrigerate 20 minutes to set.
  8. Cut into 16 pieces, serve chilled or at room temperature.

How about you add some ....

Limelight by Alcone into your life??

I am sure you have seen me post on Facebook, either on my page or in my group or Pinterest about how much I love my Limelight by Alcone products.
How the skin care is second to none and leaping bunny certified (which is a really big deal), or how I am loving my professional quality makeup.  You know the same makeup used by some of the biggest and best makeup artists on TV and Theater stars.

This month, you can join my team and get paid a bonus (that even I can't get) just for joining in October.

Interested?

These bonuses shown above are in addition to what you can earn as a Beauty Guide in training.
The kit itself is worth its weight in gold (and no it doesn't cost that much).
Oh and our products may seem like they cost a lot ... but they last so long that it seems like you are stealing them.  The colors are unbelievably pigmented so you get to use less than you think you would need compared to your "old" makeup.

If I've peeked your interest, either in joining my team or trying the products yourself, you can check out my Limelight site or message me with questions.

I have to say many of my products have lasted 6 months or more!
So you see, I really am feeling like I am stealing ... since I don't have to buy more every month.
