Exciting Tupperware Sales for the Week of Feb 22nd!

I saw this in my "mailbox" this morning and just had to jump in here and "share the joy" before I run off to work.  You know, my "other" job saving the world from those dreaded tax forms!!

These are great bowls, just in case you weren't sure.

I have a set of the microwave cereal bowls that I use, literally, ALL the time.  I've even used them to make the "overnight" oatmeal that was the rage on pinterest for awhile.

Microwave Cereal Bowls - $14!
Sealed containers stack to save space; bowls nest for compact storage.
  • Set of four 2-cup/500 mL capacity bowls with seals
  • Virtually airtight and liquid-tight seals
  • Microwave safe, simply remove seals first.
  • In Berry Bliss/Purplicious/Lettuce Leaf/Hyacinth.

And then the Impressions Classic Bowls ... well lets face it there is a size for almost everything you do everyday in this set!    The "huge" bowl, that would complete this set, is also at a great price, just in case you wanted another piece!

Here are some deals for you:
a. Tupperware® Impressions Classic Bowl Set - $14!
  • Set of 3 bowls with seals.
  • 5-1/2-cup/1.2 L, 10-cup/2.5 L, and 18-cup/4.2 L capacities
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • In Purplicious/Hyacinth/Berry Bliss.
    b. Tupperware® Impressions Extra Large Bowl - $25
  • 32 cup/7.5 L bowl with liquid-tight seal.
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • In Hyacinth.

And then to see both of these on a serious sale for the week .... I just knew you would want to know AND the fact that you can pick these up at my online tupperware site too, well that just makes it perfect!!

While you are checking these out on my site (remember if you order these great items, that you are on my site, or even shopping at my online party, so that you can qualify for my monthly "special" deals) don't forget to look around for other great deals/sales in the Mid-February brochure.

One of the items that is in that sale category is this set of 2 UltraPro Minis.  Remember these pieces?  Start them in the microwave and finish in the Oven!  I love these for making individual desserts, but I bet some individual pot pies would be great in here too.... yes I will be trying that idea soon so while everyone is on a different schedule during tax season, we can have some decent meals when we get home.

I'm thinking I have to make some Chocolate Lava Cakes when I get home tonight ... or maybe for tomorrow's dessert?  MMMM yes ... and these Minis will be PERFECT

Ultra Pro Minis

Ultra Pro Minis

Bake individual servings

Bake small desserts and other treats. Like all UltraPro Ovenware, these amazing minis are oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe.

You can pick up so many wonderful things on my Tupperware Site, even if its not on sale,  But when we have sale pieces (and I do try to highlight them here) it is such a deal!  Don't miss out on all the wonderful Tupperware pieces that are available.

11 Rules kids Don't learn in school

I bet you have seen this list a few times before.  They have been credited to Bill Gates, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr and others, but in reality it is part of a piece written by Charles J Sykes back in 1996 - or as kids would say ... in "olden" times.

I'm really liking these "11 Rules kids DO NOT learn in school" for a number of reasons, let's see what you think.

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault; so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you "FIND YOURSELF". Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television and video games are NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

How about you, do you like these rules no matter who actually created them?
I think my parents followed these "rules" when I was growing up, and I may have taught them to my kids as well.   Ok I know I did.
I believe it is time (past time) that we start teaching these "rules" to ALL kids and some adults, so that we will have responsible adults around ... helping to contribute to the country instead of having their hands out all the time.  We don't need a nanny state - that's NOT what made this country great.

Now before someone starts jumping up and down and telling me I have no idea what I am talking about.  I'm not saying that we can't give a helping hand when someone has fallen on hard times.  I'm saying that the you don't start out looking for a hand out.. But know that it will be there if you need it because we have many more people contributing than taking because they know it is what makes us who we are - a GREAT NATION.

Dance in the rain

I needed to share this one for everyone who has had a bad day so we can figure this one out
before the next "so so" day comes around - you know LIFE happens!

Sometimes we forget this when it seems like NOTHING is going right.
When it seems like we should have just stayed in bed.

Now sometimes staying in bed is a wonderful thing, but its not always practical.
Let's face it - you just need to figure out how to navigate those bad days as we live LIFE

And learn how to DANCE in the RAIN

because these "bad" days will pass
blue skies will be back again
and the sun will shine

EVENTUALLY

Shall we all
DANCE in the RAIN
TOGETHER

Because you said I COULDN'T

This is just so perfect.

There are so many "professionals" that tell us when our kids are in school that we "shouldn't require" them to do the best that they can.  That we "shouldn't" tell them that they CAN BE ANYTHING that they set their minds to.  Believe me I went through that one and about blew a gasket when the "counselor/social worker" told me I shouldn't be letting my kids set their sights "too high" because they will be "disappointed".

Well THAT I think is part of the problem - we are so afraid that they will be "disappointed" and we don't want their "feelings to get hurt" if they fail - because it might "damage their egos" .......

Because of this, many kids never really know what their potential is.
If you just shoot for the easy, then you never know just how great you can be.

We really need to spread this one around so that all of our kids, boys AND girls, know that they can.

Sometimes I want to be "in their face" when those "professionals" tell us that we should "settle" and not "push" our kids.  I want them to be the best they can, I don't want them to settle and YOU shouldn't either.

We NEED to be the BEST that WE CAN BE!
We need to be able to fail
so that we can learn how NOT to do something
but then it really wouldn't be a fail,
would it?

We NEED to shoot for the moon,
if we miss at least we are among the stars ....

WE CAN do it so I'll
NOT SETTLE for anything less!

My GE Reveal Bulb Experience

I got to experience the benefits of the GE Reveal Bulbs for myself in the past few days.  Perhaps you were able to hop onto my GE Reveal Bulb and Target Gift Card Giveaway a few weeks ago.  If you remember (or if you just jumped over to check it out), they were able to change the feel of the room with just a simple change of their light bulbs.

I have to admit I was a little skeptical that there could be a change without spending an arm and a leg - and we all know, unless you have had a big windfall (like winning the lottery)  nobody I know, including me has any extra money sitting around waiting to be spent on redecorating!

I thought I would do something a little different to test this bulb.  Here is the family "reading" chair in the middle of the day when the room is "flooded" with natural light.  It's also the TV chair and the comfy recliner that has put more people to sleep, it does look soft and comfy doesn't it?  .. but that's another story.

Here is a picture of that same chair in the late afternoon / early evening with a 60 watt soft white bulb.  Does it seem like the chair is sitting in a "hazy" living room?

And here we have that same chair with a 100 watt soft white bulb.  As you can see the chair itself is lit up more, but I think it is a much harsher light.  Now most of my lights have either 60 or 100 watt bulbs installed.  I've also never really "compared" the two bulbs in a given lamp, but it is kind of shocking to me, to see how "dull" or "harsh" the bulbs seem to make the area being lit.

And here is that same chair with the Reveal Bulb that I was provided with for this review.

The area that is lit up with this bulb, without appearing to be harshly lit is much larger than either the 60 or 100 watt bulbs.  I am thinking that this will make a great (ok greater) reading chair because the lighting will be easier on the eyes.

I also like that the bulb, although equivalent to a 75W incandescent bulb it only uses 53W (less than the 60 watt bulb I usually use in lamps).  It uses 28% LESS energy to give a cleaner light.  I am sold.  I will be looking for more of these bulbs for sure when I need to replace "blown out" bulbs (you know that never ending saga??).

If you are interested in checking these GE Reveal Bulbs out - and personally I think you DEFINITELY should, check out the Target’s Cartwheel app and get 25% off GE reveal® light bulbs.  Just search “GE reveal” to find it. This offer expires 2/28.
You can Download the Target Cartwheel app on your IOS or Android.  I know I will be checking mine every time I'm looking for something that Target carries (which seems to be everything right?)

I was provided with a FREE box of 4 Reveal Bulbs for my review, but the opinions stated here are mine alone, and not effected by the product provided.

Why Attitude Counts

I saw this one on a friends Facebook page.  I'm not sure where she got it , but I like it and wanted to share.
Personally I think it says it all.

You can choose to find a problem with everything.
You can choose to be unhappy with everything
OR
You can choose to have a good or great attitude.

BECAUSE

So are you going to strive for a great attitude too?

Oh no WHEN will it fall??

As I am getting a few reviews posted (I think I've got 3 to do) I wanted to have some additional fun for you all.

We have our Sweet February Giveaway Hop going on.
We have our Extended January Tupperware Sale items going on.

And of course we have this WONDERFUL (NOT) Winter Wonderland going on ....... which trust me was NOT on my list of things for February (or March or January for that matter).

Lets have a "flash" type giveaway.   Post your guess as to when the "snow wave" will come off my Garage Roof.  This seems to be the place where all kinds of "interesting" curls occur and this season it is no different.

We had the additional snowfall and mix of snow and ice coming down since early this morning and this is what I saw when I got up this morning.  Yes it does make for a "surprise" if you go in or out of that door ... which we obviously don't use when this happens ... could you see being under that when the door slammed shut?  BRRRRR

Tell me below, when you think this current "wave" will fall off the roof and you will win a mystery gift.  Closest without going over wins.

Also leave me a way to contact you so I can get your shipping address ... I mean if you win you want your prize right?

Since you are here - jump over to the Sweet February Giveaway Hop and check out all the great prize possibilities ... lots of bloggers in this one.  Enter one or more and if you win ... let me know so we can brag about it!

January Tupperware Sales Extended !!

Oh happy day!

As most of us have been having a rather disastrous January, as far as the weather goes, Tupperware is going to give us the ability to still get some of those great January SALES in February.  Now personally I think that is a fantastic deal ... especially since the silly ground hog decided that we can all use an additional 6 weeks of Winter ........ like we haven't had enough already!!

You can check this out on my Tupperware Site or if you want to jump on into my current online party (link is on the top right sidebar) you can take advantage of these deals.

Remember January has always been Tupperware's Modular Mate Sale month, and this year was no exception.  I am so happy that it has been extended to February 14th - for anyone who didn't have an opportunity to get some (or if you want more) because of the wonderful January weather we had.

And then we had some really nice items to make breakfast easier - you got it those are on the extended sale too!

Oh and that really cute Valentine's Day themed cookie keeper and Red Travel Mug (yes that is part of my Sweet February Giveaway Hop prize that starts tomorrow) is also still available.  It really is sharp looking and the travel mug ... well personally I think travel mugs ROCK!

So if you aren't really interested in the Super Bowl (or only watch for the commercials) you could hop on over to my Tupperware Site or Join my Current Party and pick up some of these extended sale items, as well as check out what else we have to offer.  And remember my personal Tupperware Deal that I explained here at the bottom of the post .... that's still around too!

Any questions - message me or leave a comment here and I will get back to you.

Super Bowl 2014

I don't know about you ... but the hype and brew-haha over this year's Super Bowl in NEW JERSEY is really getting to me.  And to be honest I'm not a big football fan anymore.

Oh I use to be a BIG fan.  I use to love to watch the games every week and then the AWESOMENESS of the Super Bowl (ok some years it is really lopsided) with those great commercials.  But lately its all about the money, the super egos of the players (I know not all the players but they are over-shadowed by those that have egos the size of the Grand Canyon) and the trash talk.

Yes the trash talk ..... and what seems to be a LACK of Geographical knowledge as to where the Meadowlands is.
East Rutherford is NOT in New York,
The Met Life Stadium is NOT in New York
NOT even a suburb of New York ....

Why is that so hard for them to say?  it's in NEW JERSEY.

Even Batman knows where it is being played ... what is the matter with those "big time" sportscasters and the NFL itself ??
It's NEW JERSEY

Let's hope there are some REALLY GOOD commercials this year - lately that's been the BEST PART of the Super Bowl .....

Or maybe this will be the year it goes back to being a GREAT game?

Now that I feel a bit better,
who are you routing for?

The Seahawks?
The Broncos?
Or the Commercials?
