Modular Mates means ORGANIZATION in your Life!

It's almost a new year.
It's almost time for that ball to drop.
AND
It's time for the Tupperware Annual

I love these pieces!
I have so many of these pieces in my kitchen, that I can be sure that I can only pick up what I need instead of having a "ton" of extra flour or sugar or whatever.

Even though the pictures of the Ladies Legos show at December 31st start .... Tupperware has started it early for us.  I'm excited because it means you can get your cabinets organized even earlier!! We can order TODAY and be sure our pieces will arrive while we are still in the New Year Organization Mode!

This month you have your choice of either Popsicle, which is a red color,

or the black color that we have had in the last catalog that so many loved because it was able to co-ordinate with any kitchen.

Not sure what size to get?
Of course we have a chart for that!

If you have an older home with shallower cabinets the square and oval will fit perfectly. probably leaving a little bit of space.
If you have deeper cabinets, the rectangular and super ovals will fit from back to front.

Again, I have used both.
I have many of the oval pieces are used for my spices.  I usually purchase spices in bulk and put into the Tupperware Modular Mates to keep them fresh and make them much easier to stack in the cabinet.  I also use them to make my own spice blends ... and Tupperware keeps them fresh and organized!

And if you order BEFORE midnight on January 6th you can also get this big beautiful bowl for just $15 .. that is not offered very often so don't miss out.

If you want this bowl, you need to order directly with me as it is a party guest special and not available online at this price.

I wish you all peace and love this day
I hope you feel the love and joy in your home
that you have brought to me this year
with your visits and comments.

It's Santa Tracking Time!

I love this time of year for a few reasons, but one of those reasons, up near the top is that it is because Santa is getting ready to leave the comfort of his village,

to bring presents to all the good boys and girls!

Look!  He has a huge production line going on, which tells me there must have been a lot of really good boys and girls this year.

 So lets get ready,
I can see it's
Santa Tracking Time!!

Want to find out where Santa is and just how close
he is to where you live?
Check out the Santa Tracker by NORAD.

Hi Santa and Rudolph,
we will be looking out for you!

LimeLight Gifts to share

I know some of you know that I have joined up with LimeLight because I really wanted to have Professional Makeup but never wanted to pay the normal Professional Prices.  I guess you could say I'm just too "cheap" for that.
I have always had a problem spending money on myself, especially when it came to makeup.  Now I can have professional make up without the cost.  I really am happy that I can say I'm a LimeLighter.

I love this lip gloss.  It goes on really smooth and doesn't make you feel like you have a ton of lip gloss on, but does give your lips some color. Does it help add a pop of color or just a hint?  That's up to you.

The eyeliner pen is something I can't wait to try (I just got mine).  I have never been able to use eyeliner like this because I always seemed to have way way too much on.  This one looks so easy to use and if its like the rest of the products I have tried already ... I will be using this one often.
And at under $20 each .. perfect!

At prices under $25 you could never go wrong.  Because this professional makeup is so highly pigmented (50% vs less than 10% for those store bought makeups we can get) you can use so much less than you normally do .. they will last so much longer.

The blush is outstanding.  I use mine every day.  Whether I am just staying home or going out to work or running errands, I use my Botanical Foundation and Blush and look put together without looking "made up".
The Enduring Lip Color is my favorite lip color so far and I have tried many different "brands". What I like with these are that the color is great, its super easy to use and it doesn't leave color everywhere (no colored lip impressions on my coffee cups).

And the Perfect Mascara ... well I had gotten another companies Fiber mascara as part of a kit I bought and was afraid to use it based on some reviews I had read and my contacts.  I tried this mascara with its fiber included in the container (so no two steps or was it three?) and I LOVE it.  I admit I have only used it a few time to date, but I have not had any problems with it.  I'm going to keep this on my must have list.

I love being able to keep my brushes clean without having to make it a big production.  Before I got the Come Clean brush cleaner, I admit I would put off cleaning my brushes because it was always a big deal.  Now it is almost a rinse, swish swish, rinse, done.

Yes pretty much that's it! And I think my brushes feel better because of it.

I have just started using the Blenderful sponge to put on my foundation but I think this is part of what makes my makeup look "seamless".  Of course their foundation has really helped too!

And with all of these are under $30 you would be a superstar if you added these to their stocking or made it an After Christmas surprise!

Want to find these products or see what else LimeLight has to offer?
Check it out here.  Any questions?  I'm here.

It's the Mid DECEMBER brochure!!

I had to jump on here to let you know that the
Tupperware Mid December brochure is HERE!!

And it SPARKLES!

There are some great deals in this one just in time for Christmas.

You need to order quickly if you want it to be available for under the tree giving, but it is pretty darned awesome if I do say so myself.  Oh and if you order $99 or more before midnight Dec 13th .. Shipping is FREE.

You could get the Be Dazzled 10-pc. Wonderlier Bowl set and have everything you need to preparing meals or treats all year round. Or you could get the Ultimate Collection for just $20 more and be set for all that AND some liquid concoctions too.
Or share with a friend and each would get a colorful 5-pc Wonderlier Bowl Set.

These pieces are pretty great for entertaining...
The Kids Mini Serving set is so cute if you have a little one who has one of those little kitchens or likes to have sit down parties with his or her stuffed animals.  Just remember they are MINI so they are for little ones.

The Giant Canister and Large Storage Tote are great for ornaments or tree lights and such for the holidays but also for other things during the year.  I like the giant canister for things like popcorn and pretzels and I bet you could make a big batch of trail mix or chex mix and store in there.
Just remember these are only available for a short time ... must be ordered by December 30th or they will be gone.

I LOVE the 9 pc Vent N Serve Set.  I have mine in blue and use it all the time.  Because the base is not a solid color, you can see what is in the container when you have it in the refrigerator (A must in my house or everyone ignores it) so your planned leftovers are eaten not thrown away with "stuff" growing on them.
If you want this set for free .. you need to book a party and have it submitted before January 13, 2017 and have $600 in sales plus have 2 friends book future parties.
Yes it can be a book party or a FB party to qualify.

Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941

Today is the day that we were told by President Roosevelt, that will live in infamy.

It is the day we lost almost our entire Pacific fleet.
It is the day that we lost so many men stationed at Pearl Harbor.
It is the day that cemented our entrance into World War II.

I have been to Pearl Harbor and visited the memorial over the USS Arizona.  As you can see here, it is positioned over the ship in such a way that you can see the Arizona.

It's a beautiful site to see.  When I was there, many years ago, you could still see oil or fuel or something slowly seeping up from the ship.
There is an awesome wall where all those who died that day were commemorated.

It truly is a site to see and to feel.  I still remember walking up the ramp to the memorial and feeling as if I was being drawn into that day.  Almost as if someone needed me to feel their presence.
And I did.
Now don't be getting all jiggy on me, but there is definitely a feeling of awe and reverence as you walk up the ramp.

If you ever get the chance .. please take the time to visit.  You won't regret it.

Let us continue to teach our children and remind our leaders of our history, like this, so that we won't be doomed to repeat those mistakes again.

Our children are much too precious for that.

LimeLight by Alcone - Professional Makeup for You

Please note, I love LimeLight products so much I have recently become a beauty guide (in training).

In the last month or so, I was introduced to a wonderful makeup that has recently been made available to the public.  Not that it is a new makeup brand, it has been around for a very long time (I will update with how long once I find it again), it has just been only available for the "silver screen" folks.
But no more.

LimeLight by Alcone is now available to the general public who want the same kind of quality makeup that the stars have had while performing their craft or for their everyday.

One of the great things about this makeup ... it is so highly pigmented that you only need to use a little for great results.

I received an email from Alcone with some products that will make shopping for the teen crowd much easier.  I personally think these products are great for everyone whether you are new to makeup or a long time user.

I have a party going here, if you are interested in anything shown here, or on the site itself.

Here is the list of perfect gifts for teens or new makeup users .. or even those who have used makeup for years.

#1 - Glisten and Glide Brush Set

This brush set will have you applying eye makeup like a pro!
Teens and some of us, buy low-quality brushes, because they are cheap(er). But this set of great brushes are at a manageable price that will make applying eye makeup fun! And of course look much more professional.

This gift also comes with a free travel bag and is gift-boxed and bowed.

#2 - Masque of Zen Face Mask
There is not a teenager in the universe that doesn't immediately fall in love with this mask. It helps re-balance the skin that has gone hormone haywire. It great for acne fighting as well as improving the overall health of your skin.  I can't wait to try this one, even though its been a while since I saw those teen years.

#3 - A Lottie Eyeshadow Palette

These colors were created by Lottie Stannard, the makeup artist to tons of celebrities. There are two different palette to choose from.

The Dazzle palette is for the super artsy or the Dream On palette is more natural.  Both palettes come with a free Perfect Eyeliner Pen.
These are currently in limited supply so you might want to hurry on these.

#4 - Must Dew Face Oil
This product is all over the pro makeup artist's social media pages as a "must have" and it is formulated for sensitive skin. It is a calming oil that restores, refreshes and protects your skin.
The real magic is when paired with makeup to create a dewy glow - that will make you/her feel like you/she can take on the world.  And lets face it, who doesn't want to feel that way after putting on their makeup and walking out the door?

#5 - Winter Kisses Collection

This is a serious lip collection.  It comes in 8 different shades and contains an Enduring Lip Liner, an Enduring Lip Color, and Alcone's Signature Lip Gloss.

All three are pro-quality and comes with a free travel bag
A winter win-win.

Now something that is not in this list, and I think should be, is their brush cleaner, so I am adding it here.

#6 - Come Clean Brush and Sponge Shampoo should be a must to keep your brushes clean.  Why have great makeup (or any makeup for that matter) and apply it with dirty brushes?
Ewww who knows what you are putting on your face with your makeup using dirty brushes.  I LOVE this product.  My brushes have never been this clean, well except when I first brought them home.  Yes this is a dream cleaner.

Remember that if there is something that you are interested in, you can order from my LimeLight party .

If you want more information on these products, you can check them out on the website, or ask here and I will get back to you.
Remember I am a Beauty Guide (in Training) so I may have to look up the answer to your question, but I will definitely get you one quickly.

Chicken Roasted with Thyme and Sage

This is a wonderful recipe for any time of year and since it is not a huge chicken, it is something that anyone can make for dinner without a ton of leftovers if your family is "small".

I know when I was single, or even know as there are many nights it is just hubby and I for dinner, I hate the thought of making some recipes just because I don't want to be eating it for weeks on end. This would be perfect, because it is made for 4 servings, not 14.

Yield: 4
Serving Size: 6 oz.

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp. butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. dried sage
  • 1 tbsp. fresh rosemary, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. coarse kosher salt
  • 1 (2–3 lb.) whole chicken

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425° F.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, combine butter, thyme, sage, rosemary, garlic, and salt.
  4. Rub 2 tbsp. of butter mixture over chicken skin.
  5. Rub remaining butter under the skin and inside the chicken cavity.
  6. Place chicken in an UltraPro roasting pan, breast side up.
  7. Microwave on high power 17 minutes.
  8. Remove from microwave, baste chicken with pan drippings; transfer pan to oven.
  9. Bake 17 minutes or until golden brown and internal temperature registers 160° F on an instant read thermometer.
  10. Remove from oven.
  11. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
I LOVE my UltraPro from Tupperware.
The different sizes makes them ideal for all kinds of items.
It is great for the Microwave, but it is also great in the oven.
This makes for some quick but very tasty meals using the tandem cooking of microwave and oven.

Stop ... Don't be Afraid

Sometimes we all need a reminder.
This one is one of those for us "constant" doubters.

You know who you are ..
You doubt that you are "worthy".
You doubt that you should "like" something.
You doubt whether or not you should "do" something.
You doubt whether you could "be" someone.

You doubt because you are afraid of what someone will "think".

Well here is your reminder ....

Now make sure you print this one out
and put it in a prominent place ...
On your refrigerator with your kids artwork.
On the bathroom mirror so you see it every morning.
By the coffee pot, so you see it when you can "see" in the morning.
In your car so you will see it before you leave for the day.

Anyplace where you will be reminded that it is not what they think or say .. its what you think that is most important

Cranberry Pecan Topped Cheese Log

I know when we have the holidays, even though there is always a ton of food when we sit down for dinner, we always have "snacky" or "picky" foods or "nibbles" before while the turkey or roast cooks.

This one sounds wonderful and easy and looks "fancy" and I bet would go over really well with a nice before dinner cocktail.

Yield: 4
Serving Size: 2 tbsp.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 10.5-oz. log goat cheese

Stuffing Bread Pudding

Are you ready for Thanksgiving dinner?  Are you having a big turkey and all the fixings or are you going to someone else's house for this holiday?  Do you have a favorite dish for Thanksgiving?

Personally I think you must have stuffing with Turkey, but then again, I don't think we have ever had a roasted turkey without stuffing of some kind.

I know that many people "stuff" their Turkey or Chicken and call it Stuffing.  Others put onions or oranges or herbs or any combination of these inside the bird and have their stuffing made in a separate container and call it dressing.  I have done both, but still call it stuffing.

Yield: 8
Serving Size: 1 cup

Ingredients
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 2 ribs celery, strings removed, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 2 loaves Italian or sour dough bread, crust removed
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 tsp. celery salt
  • 1 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. fresh sage, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  2. Cut bread into ½″ cubes; set aside.
  3. In the bottom of the UltraPro 2-Qt. Casserole Pan, stir together onion, celery, garlic, and 2 tbsp. of the melted butter.
  4. Microwave on high power 4 minutes.
  5. Remove from microwave.
  6. In a large bowl, mix together vegetables, remaining butter, bread cubes, egg, chicken stock, celery salt, pepper, and herbs until well combined and moist;
  7. Transfer to the same UltraPro pan used originally.
  8. Microwave on high power 3 minutes.
  9. Remove from microwave; place pan in oven.
  10. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  11. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

This one sounds like a great base recipe that would be good just as it is or that you can "tweak" for your personal favorites and still be able to use these directions.

I can see adding a little diced apple or some raisins with the rest of the ingredients noted here and have a fabulous side dish.  I could also see adding some sausage if you like the spicy addition.

Let me know if you try this one as is or if you are "tweaking" it as well.

Cowboy cookies with pecans and chocolate chips

I love having gifts at the ready for when I'm going to someone's house for the first time.
These make great housewarming gifts, teacher gifts, your mail person ... or just for you to have when the "need" arises for some cookies fresh out of the oven.

Yield: 25 cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. table salt
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
To make cookies
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Instructions
  1. Layer ingredients in order listed in Spaghetti Dispenser
  2. Seal until ready to bake or gift.
To make cookies
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Pour contents of Spaghetti Dispenser into medium bowl.
  3. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in melted butter and egg.
  4. Stir until dough comes together.
  5. Press dough into balls, about 2 tbsp. and place on cookie sheet lined with Silicone Wonder® Mat
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until lightly browned and just beginning to set.
  7. Let cool slightly and remove from baking sheet.
  8. Repeat with remaining dough.

I'm going to put together a few for my pantry, for those winter weekends when you really don't want to go out in the super cold but would rather sit by the fire with a cup of cocoa and a cookie.  Sounds like a great plan right?  Cowboy Cookies are a real treat.

They were new to me and I thought maybe new to you too.

There were fish and Seahorses and this one,
a Jellyfish!

I just thought it would be perfect for a younger child, but not under the age of 3.

Lets face it they all want a pet,
but most aren't quite old enough
to take care of the pet.
It's just too much work for young kids with all the other things they need to learn.

Now they can have a Jellyfish pet with fear of it dying.

Comes with its own bowl and batteries.  And don't worry about having to replace the batteries all the time, it shuts off after 3 minutes.  Tap on the side of the bowl and it wakes up to swim again.

It can be used for a tool about ocean life or to just watch 'cause it's "cool".

I will be sending out this prize so I need to limit this to US readers.

Veteran's Day 2016

Today is Veteran's Day
Today is the day we should be thanking those individuals who served as soldiers, some of whom gave all, for our freedom.

Some have made the military their career.
Some have served in the military for education purposes.
Some have served because it was their belief that it was their duty to give back in this manner, to acknowledge those who gave them the ability to live in the land of the free.

To all those who serve, or have served, we owe them a debt of gratitude for what this nation stands for....freedom.

Although we should be thanking them every day, I ask you to acknowledge them today.
When you see a veteran, please thank them for their service.

Some of those who have served have given the ultimate sacrifice, they did not make it home alive.
We can no longer say thank you to them, but their families are left to continue on.  We can be there for them.

I have shared this before, but I do believe it should be shared every year.  Those that serve are not forgotten when they give the ultimate sacrifice defending us.  Those that have answered the call of freedom but have fallen before returning home, are honored for responding to that call with the Angel Flight.

Office in a Case

I was recently contacted by the founder of Excolere Ltd, a UK company, about a new product they were introducing.
www.officeincase.co

When I was looking at the website, I thought this is a fantastic idea.  My first thought was this would be perfect for anyone doing direct sales from home, but had limited space.

There would be no more working at the kitchen table to enter your orders, send out emails, and more.
I can see this for school work as well.
There's just so many ways to make this set an awesome addition to anyone's space.

The really interesting thing is the desk and chair fits in here!

That's right, it fits in this case!  Can you believe it?

Check out the video here.

If you are in thinking this is a great idea and would be something you could use often, if not every day, you will want to check out all the product details at Office in Case.
