Dr Seuss and some Life Lessons

I have to say I loved this one when I saw it and just knew I had to share.

Although I really do like all 5 of Dr Seuss's lessons, I have to say that #2 and #5 are things that should be going hand in hand and, in my opinion, belong up top - front and center!

YOU were born to stand out
So behave like this is YOUR day to be remembered

I think we need to keep teaching our children these very "facts".  I think if more kids were taught this and not just by words but by example, we would have less "blind followers" and less "evil" events in our lives.

Lets vow to help our kids (and us) stand out for the GOOD things that we can be remembered for and not trying to be something we are not "just" to fit in!

As we start the second half of this year (can you believe half of 2013 as gone by already) lets take this to heart and make this OUR year to shine!

What do you think?
Are these great lessons from Dr Seuss?
Are these things we should be teaching our kids by example every day?

I love Dr Seuss! The rhymes are great, and there are some good lessons in them. I like #4 as well.

I also love Dr. Suess. The books have great life lessons depicted in a fun, entertaining way. My favorites are 3 and 4.

It's very important to teach by example, especially to kids. "Do as I say and not as I do" is neither fair nor effective but, instead, hypocrisy. Actions speak louder than words.
