Pineapple Pork Chili

This one looks interesting - we like Pork, we like Chili and we like Pineapple ... just never had them together.  I'm thinking this is another must try.  Let's face it ... it is getting to be Chili Time!

Pineapple Pork Chili
  • 1 lb ground pork (or beef)
  • 1 16 ounce jar pineapple salsa*
  • 1 15 ounce can of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 8 ounce can tomato sauce (or home-made)
  • 1 TBSP chili powder
  • Pineapple slices (optional)

*If you can't find pineapple salsa, use regular salsa and add 1/3 to 1/2 cup crushed pineapple.

In a 3 qt saucepan, brown meat, drain off any fat.  If you have a Tupperware Stack Cooker, you can put your pork (or beef) in the colander over the 3 qt casserole and cook in microwave approx 6 minutes - no fuss, no muss, all the fat drains down into casserole so it is easily discarded.

Return meat to saucepan or 3 qt casserole of Stack Cooker.  Stir in salsa, beans, tomato sauce and chili powder and simmer or microwave, uncovered until all heated through.

Spoon into individual bowls.  Garnish dish with Pineapple slice, if using

I like this one because you can basically come home from work and make dinner in less than 30 minutes AND have something that is "stick to the ribs".  I bet this would make some awesome leftovers ...

Remember, if you are looking for Tupperware, whether it is what I've noted here or something else, check out my Tupperware site where you can check us out.  If you need help with anything there, you can always email me  and I'll get back to you ASAP.  Thanks!

Are you Beautiful?

Sometimes I really feel that we have totally missed the boat, so to speak, when we are teaching our children.  I hope that I have taught my children this lesson, if nothing else.

It is a "play" on that old saying .... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  If we LOOK for beauty on the outside only, we could be very very disappointed, especially when we realize that their beauty is "only skin deep".

Baker Pie Maker?

I keep trying to find things to share that are not overly expensive that are "different" for those on your holiday gift list that are "difficult" to find things for.  You know - they either have EVERYTHING already or NOTHING is good enough.

How about that person who loves to bake or is a pie maker?  There are some pretty interesting things that can be purchased from Tupperware that won't break the bank, but could be one of the most thoughtful gifts they receive.

How about  Tupperware® Anti-Slip Pastry Sheet and Rolling Pin for about $30?
Did you know that this rolling pin has a unique handle that can hold warm or cold water to help when rolling out different types of dough.  That would make this gift for the baker/piemaker VERY different.

For just $7.50 more you could add not one but TWO mini pastry pie makers.

And the colors aren't bad either  - Don't think I have seen these products in these colors anywhere else - so you might want to think about order these for gifts this year so your gift will stand out as something "different" this year - all for less than $40!

Check out my Tupperware Site or send me an email and I will help you get your shopping started!

Keep your High Standards

{EAV:122fd0d648680851}

I just love this.

I think all too often people, especially young girls, will compromise their believes or feelings so that they can "fit in" or "be accepted" or even worse "so they will be liked/loved".  We need to help them to understand that the people we want to be our friends, to be part of our lives will rise up to meet the high standards we have, that we live our lives by, IF they are meant to be a part of our lives.

But this doesn't just apply to young girls.  No it should be taught to our children - boys as well as girls - and lived in such a way that they will see that we also live this way.  That our friends live this way ---- and we are all better for it.

Think Pink Giveaway for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I'm sure by now you are all aware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I am sure you have seen all the PINK that is worn in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.  I love seeing those big brawny football players with their pink shoes/shoelaces or gloves with the pink inserts and of course the HUGE towels and goal post "protection" mats in PINK.

To help keep Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the forefront I would really like it if you would like the Breast Cancer Awareness Month Facebook Page (right now they have 317K likes) so that everyone that looks at your page will be reminded that our "job" is not finished yet.  We still have much more research that needs to be done to wipe out this disease.

If you need more information on Breast Cancer, check out NationalBreastCancer.org or BreastCancer.org   We really can't have too much information until this disease is no longer around.

To celebrate this awareness and to help keep the word spreading, I am giving away a great set of Tupperware to help you Get YOUR PINK on!  They will really look great in your kitchen, I know mine do.  You may have seen me "gushing" about these great products on this post here where you can check out all the Tupperware PINK

You might want to check out this post on why you really want to win this set, plus whatever other PINK I put in the box .... can't tell you EVERYTHING that is in the box can I??

So tell me .... should we increase the size of this giveaway?  What do you think and why?

Make your own gifts packaging solutions

Not sure if you have started to "panic" over what you are going to be getting for those "difficult" people on your shopping list - I know I have a few - but Tupperware could very well have your solution.

If you are into making your own gifts from the kitchen, but have no idea how to package them - here are a few suggestions that are going to be big sellers this year!

As part of the October Specials we have this really cute Pink Canister set for just $14.50.

Or if you are looking for something that is a little more "holiday" you could check out the Candy Cane Canister Set for $15.99 online.

Or if you like to make your own spice mixes or all those "prepackaged" mixes so you control the sodium - how about your own spice containers that are air-tight?  I think this would be a great gift for everyone but someone who has recently moved into their own home?  This would be so great helping get their kitchen up to speed so that they could start cooking like a pro.   You can get the whole set (8 large and 8 small plus carousel) for $79.00 or just the small containers (4) for $15.00 or just the large containers (4) for $19.00 ......

See this is just a small selection of what Tupperware has for the storage AND packaging of for your holiday gifts.   Check out more of the wonderful Products that Tupperware has to offer on my Tupperware site or you can send me an email

Chocolate Snack Cake

Yes two of my favorite things ... Chocolate and Snack Cakes.  I mean who doesn't like Chocolate and "Snack" Cakes?  Chocolate is a given, Cake is wonderful but if you can make it into a "snack" cake then the guilt is less when you indulge right?  I could see this as a wonderful Birthday Cake .... oh Happy Birthday dear brother ...

I found this recipe in an "old" Taste of Home Best Light Recipes from 2006!  I'm thinking I'm going to make this for me sometime today - I mean why not?  Right?

Chocolate Snack Cake

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2/3 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1/3 cup Canola Oil
  • 2 squares (1 ounce each) Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

In bowl, beat eggs and egg whites.  Add applesauce, oil, chocolate and vanilla; mixing well.
Combine dry ingredients in another bowl.  Gradually add to egg mixture until just combined.
Pour into a 9 inch spring-form pan coated with non-stick cooking spray.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes.
Cool on wire rack.  Run knife around edges before removing sides.
Makes 12 servings.  Serve with 1/2 cup frozen vanilla yogurt

Now I will be making this in the base of my Tupperware Stack Cooker with cone insert that has been sprayed with cooking spray, and "cooking" it in the microwave ... for about 8 - 10 minutes.  Once cool, turn out on to my cake plate (I should have gotten one of Tupperware's Round cake carriers but alas not yet) and sift a little powdered sugar on top.  This way I can forgo the frozen yogurt (or ice cream) if I want .......... but hey I can have both too right?

I will post a picture later, once I make it, if I don't cut into it before I can take a picture.

And if I'm really really good today I will have the new creation by Tupperware - a Chocolate-tini!  I just saw this one the other day and I'm thinking oh yeah a definite must.  Now I have to find the recipe and it may very well include this in my list of celebration drinks/ideas.

Don't forget my giveaways, and don't forget my Tupperware party online (top right corner for both giveaway and Tupperware links).
