Zep Microwave Miracle

I was lucky enough to be able to sample the Zep Microwave Miracle.

I say lucky because cleaning the microwave is not one of my favorite things ... especially when its tax season and the microwave seems to be used too much and rarely does anyone ever "clean up" their messes.  The little greasy mess on the turntable that "no one sees", ever.

This is just some of the "remains" of someones warming (popping?) of their snack. You could see this on various parts of the microwave, but I'm sure you get the point. Perhaps this reminds you of yours?  I know I'm not the only one.

I pumped the bottle on to the bottom and turntable as directed and turned the microwave on high for 2 minutes.  Then you are suppose to allow "cool".  Now I have no idea how long that is ... so I left it for about 5 minutes.

When I opened the microwave door, all the "foam' was gone.  I was a little dismayed because it actually looked dirtier than when I first sprayed the foam.  But actually that was all the "unseen" dirt that was absorbed or liquefied.

I used my trusty roll of paper towels and uncovered a really "sparkly" clean microwave, and I didn't need to spend more than 10 minutes total doing it, and most of that time was letting it work/cool!

Even the top (ceiling)of the microwave was clean, without spraying it before hand.  I'm guessing that steam from the heating of the foam and then allowing to cool, takes care of the top too!

Even in the corners and under the turntable and the door. Yes this is definitely a winner!

I will definitely be looking for this one in the store.  It could be worth its weight in gold if your family likes to "nuke and go" no matter how much they spatter the inside of the microwave.

Hmmm I may have to take my bottle into the office and do a little bit of cleaning in the kitchen.  Sometimes that microwave is scary ... but I'm betting it would be no match for the Zep Microwave Miracle.

Angry Birds and Hello Kitty

The next 2 weeks are all about kids at Tupperware.
We are having some really really cute kids (or kids at heart) specials that you can pick up by messaging me so that I can call you to place the order.

I just love the shape-o toy that Tupperware has had forever.  Personally I think every child should have one because it starts teaching them shapes and color and movement and hand/eye co-ordination and even cause and effect.  Usually the colors of the Shape-O toy is red and blue with yellow shapes but for these 2 weeks you could get it in a pink and purple color (girl power) with purple shapes.

And if you are an Angry Birds or Hello Kitty lover, or know one there are deals for you too.

The Angry Bird tumblers are so cute! And with the snack cups it is a great option for afternoon snacks when its to early for dinner but if you don't give something the evil monster will be rear its ugly head. But its would also be great for lunch boxes too!
It is a set of three 16-oz. Angry Birds™ Tumblers with liquid-tight seals and flip-top spouts plus three Snack Cups.

The Hello Kitty deal includes 3 sets for your lunch box!  It includes set of three 16-oz. Hello Kitty™ Tumblers with liquid-tight seals and flip-top spouts plus three Hello Kitty™ Sandwich Keepers.  This would be great for the Hello Kitty fan in your house.  Just think 3 days of lunches with a different Hello Kitty set to make her the hit of the lunch table.

Remember this are only available for a few weeks.  Orders must be submitted by April 10th so if you are interesting you need to message me ASAP.  I wish they were able to be ordered online - but right now I'm not seeing them there.  I will keep looking to see if they do show up there as well.  It may just be because it started on Saturday and the online portion won't start until Monday.

Colored Easter Eggs

I really loved this one.
Do you do dyed eggs for Easter?

I know when my kids were little that was almost as important as the actual Easter Basket that the Easter Bunny would bring.  They always wanted to come up with unique designs and colors.

But if you have looked at the egg dying kits, there really aren't that many colors available.  Well I found these really sweet ideas for different colors to dye your own eggs on the McCormick's website. Before you start you can make an egg drying stand out of a paper towel tube cut into sections or use an empty egg carton.

  • Mix 1/2 cup boiling water, 1 tsp vinegar and food color in a cup to achieve desired colors. Repeat for each color. Dip hard-cooked eggs in dye for about 5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon, wire egg holder or tongs to add and remove eggs from dye. Allow eggs to dry.

Here are some more decorating Ideas from McCormick

Two-toned eggs: Dip top half of hard-cooked egg in 1 color and the bottom half in another. Or, dip each half of the egg in the dye for different lengths of time, creating different shades of the same color.

Painted eggs: Mix 20 drops food color and 1/2 teaspoon vinegar in small container. Paint hard-cooked eggs with a small paintbrush or cotton swab. Go wild with stripes, polka dots and zigzags.

Designed eggs: Before dyeing, place rubber bands, stickers such as chicks, rabbits, flowers or other springtime favorites, or paper reinforcements on the eggs to create the design of choice. Once dry, remove the rubber bands, etc., to view the design.

Personalized eggs: Write initials, names or draw pictures on the egg with a white or light colored crayon before dyeing.

Marbleized eggs: Mix 1/4 cup boiling water, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1/8 teaspoon oil and 4 to 8 drops food color in shallow bowl. Gently roll egg in the mixture for 30 seconds, or until the egg is the desired shade. Transfer the egg to a second color mixture, and repeat the process. Allow the egg to dry completely. Wipe away excess oil with a paper towel.

Color wash eggs: Place several eggs in a colander in the kitchen sink. Splash eggs with vinegar. Drop yellow food color onto eggs. Gently shake the colander for a few seconds to help the color spread. Let stand 30 seconds. Repeat with 1 or 2 additional food colors. After the final stand time, lightly rinse eggs with water. Drain completely. Allow eggs to dry.

I think I'm going to try some of these even though I don't have any "little" kids.  I'm going to put mine in the a Tupperware egg keeper (deviled egg carrier from the vault) and then put the Slice and Wedge out when I put my eggs on display!
This way I bet they will get eaten quickly - sliced or wedged they will be a hit I am sure!

So are you going to be trying this one?
Are your kids going to help you be creative?

Caramel Apple Cookies

I know Spring is here, but in my opinion cookies are the perfect dessert any time of year.  I could see these with a nice cup of coffee or tea to end a meal.

Another thing I really like about these is that they look pretty and special but aren't difficult to make nor do they have "odd" or hard to find ingredients.

Caramel Apple Cookies

I also like that this recipe doesn't make a huge amount of cookies, so that they are tempting you to "over-indulge".

All of the Tupperware pieces used to prepare these cookies are available on my Tupperware Site.
There are so many wonderful new things going on at Tupperware ... check it out - I bet you will be pleasantly surprised.

What's for Dinner? Let's make some meatballs!

Awesome Meatballs

If you are single, or if its just the two of you, I'm sure you are saying wow LOTS of meatballs here .... But you can use these as the base for so many meals.  Add to a brown gravy, a tomato gravy with or without spaghetti, meatball subs ...

I love making things like this, I can have dinner one night, lunch another and then freeze the rest in individual servings for those quick meals when time is of the essence or when there is just "nothing in the fridge".

Speaking of that ... maybe it is time to make a batch.

Happy Birthday Honey!!

Well another year has come.
It's the first FULL day of Spring (ok so it's also complete with snow this year) so the flowers and plants and trees will start showing their wonderful colors and we can stop with all the piles of blankets and sweaters.

AND again it is time to say

to my hubby!

We get to celebrate with a wonderful dinner tonight ...  Can't wait!

Happy Birthday Bill.

Smart Steamer Cakes

Here's another easy way to make a little dessert or snack for some deserving "little" people in your life ... or for you.

If you were able to pick up one of the Tupperware Smart Steamers that are on sale in the Mid March Brochure from my Tupperware Site, this will definitely make you a star when everyone wants dessert and you "thought" it would take too long to make.

You could use any kind of cake mix.
I bet the snack cakes or muffins would work too!
You could add Chocolate Chips or maybe Cinnamon Chips or I've seen Raspberry Chips.
I bet you could add some fruit (just don't go overboard).  I'm thinking a strawberry or a raspberry or maybe a banana slice.

Doing your best

This is something that I think everyone should see ... at least once.

Ok at least once a day!

Sometimes, no matter how much we do or how well we do it, we find something we would have done better or more.

This is a reminder that even YOU are doing the best that you can.

Tupperware's Noah's Ark

Do you remember this Tupperware piece?
For this week only, ending March 20th, you can get this awesome Tupperware toy on my Tupperware website!  We have "cracked open the vault" and brought out this toy that hasn't been seen in quite a while.

There are so many things that you can do with this toy.  Yes it is a toy for kids BUT it can help teach your children about colors and counting and the "animals" can be used to trace out and color for "quiet time" and road trips.  Oh and they come apart so you can use them for cookie cutters or with play-do.

But remember you can only get this Tuppertoy on my Tupperware website until March 20th, because on March 21st it goes back into the vault ... and who knows when it might appear again - if ever.

Home made baby food

Tupperware has the answer for your family - no matter the age.
I know many people are trying to eat healthier, using fresh foods with less or no preservatives.  Even though my kids aren't little anymore, I know that this is really important to moms (and dads) today for their younger kids.
How about your new baby?
When its time to start them on food, are you going to use jarred baby food?
How about making your own baby food?

Check out my website, with the Mid March brochures items that will help you make fresh food for everyone in your family including your baby!

Don't have a new baby of your own? Think about your friends or family - anyone expecting?  These items would make an awesome baby shower gift!

Tupperware Mid March brochure

I need to share with you a tease of the Mid March Tupperware brochure.  There are some really neat items here that can be used for all kinds of things - but I really like the items that can be used as a baby shower gift.  You can see these pieces on my Tupperware Site, and so much more.

The baby feeding set is such a great set.
You get to have your baby grow with Tupperware.  And then we have the Bell tumblers with seals (fabulous price) that I think were in every kitchen in the 70s and 80s and more kitchens than not even now.  I will be getting a set of both just for any future grandchildren I may have.

I really like the Baby Wipes Case.  It just looks like a great idea.  Lets face it baby wipes are expensive, so if you can buy them in bulk that's a definite plus.  Well putting that huge package in a diaper bag just isn't practical ... this case looks like the perfect solution!

If you are looking to get a Smart Steamer ... this price is a steal!

Check it out.  My website is always open! If you have any questions, please leave me a message and I will get back to you.

Help me name my team in the Tupperware Revolution

I've been challenged by my Legacy Executive director to come up with a team name for my Tupperware business.

There are some really fun Team names and some very creative names in our group.  I'd love to come up with a name for my team that will be a combination of both.

But here's where I need your help.  I originally thought TupperKats would be a cute name. Now I'm not so sure.

What do you think?  If you were coming up with my Tupperware Team name what would you suggest?

Being a Tupperware Consultant is really great for a number of reasons.  You get to have your OWN business and make your own decisions.  You get to set your own hours and work as much or as little as you want.  Oh and you get to feed your own Tupperware habit needs at a great discount!

To get set up as a consultant and get started earning commissions, you can either contact me and join my team (Kathie (Kat) Meller) OR you can sign up to be a consultant on my team and make your payment for your kit ($99 for $350 in product shown here in the picture) with a credit card right from my website!

PLUS if you Say Yes to this great opportunity through March 27, you can add the Vent ’N Serve® 2-Pc. Medium Set, Large Deep Container and Soup Mug (an $85.50 value) to your kit for just $20.

And if that's not enough, there is yet another offer for the new consultant.

If you start your business AND submit one average party ($450 or more in personal sales) by March 27, 2015, you will also qualify to purchase the Vent ’N Serve® 7-Pc. Set for just $30. Valued at a total of $125!
I really love the Vent 'N Serve pieces - I have a 7 pc set that I use all the time.   It is wonderful for leftovers planned overs after Sunday dinners.  I even have a few recipes you can make using them in the microwave (can you say chocolate brownies in a flash) that I can share with you as well.

So help me come up with a name for my team. And perhaps you could think about joining my team so you can get started with all these great special pieces as well as starting to collect all the great prizes you can earn during your first 13 weeks (you could end up with an iPad or a set of our Chef Series Cookware - LOVE  these).

Can't wait to see what you come up with and would love to have the opportunity to have you work with me in the Tupperware Revolution!

Yes it is time.
I am sooo very ready for Spring to be here...
Are you with me?
I am more than ready for another Giveaway;
Aren't you?
So here is
my Stop in the

Welcome to the
"Spring in to Spring" Giveaway Hop
hosted by Heather from Mommy's Favorite Things
and Michelle from Mama's Baby Cupcakes.

This hop has a Open Spring Theme, and each blog has a minimum prize package of $25 per winner.

When I think of Spring, I think of flowers starting to pop out of the ground and fresh fruits and vegetables locally grown found in the markets.

Steaming your vegetables is one of the healthiest ways to prepare them because it retains the nutrients and vitamins while preserving color, texture and flavor. And it's also one of the most delicious, too!

I am self sponsoring this giveaway with a Smart Steamer by Tupperware. This steamer is loved by all, including Dr Oz!

The Smart Steamer by Tupperware includes 1¾-qt./400 mL Water Tray, Steamer Base, Colander and Cover.

I gave one of these away in December and everyone was talking about it - so I thought I would share the joy again.  And how many times can you say that a fun way to cook and tastes great is also good for you?

You could purchase you own today if you don't want to wait, from my Tupperware Site .  I really love mine and use it for all kinds of things ... not just veggies!

After visiting my giveaway, and entering with the easy rafflecopter below, make sure you use the linky to take a look at the other blogs to see what they have to offer for you!
Good Luck!

Be sure to check out the Grand Prize on Mommy's Favorite Things blog for a chance to win a Gift Card from Umi Shoes and a Bubble Guppies DVD.

Disclosure: Mama's Baby Cupcakes, Mommy's Favorite Things and the "Spring in to Spring" participating bloggers are not responsible for sponsors who do not fulfill prize obligations.
