Boyfriend 5.0 Upgraded to Husband 1.0??

This is just so good I had to share.
It was in my email the other day from one of my co-workers.  She wanted to share to spread a little late day "cheer".
So of course I had to share it with you too, it really is too good not to share.

A woman wrote to tech support, and their reply is a stroke of genius:

This young woman is no different from the rest of us, both family happiness and
heartbreak are familiar to her.
She is simply looking for an answer to her questions.
  • How do you maintain a relationship?
  • How do you bring back the excitement of the first date?
She wrote a letter to the tech support to find her answers.

She sent the letter as a joke and only remembered about it when she suddenly received an email notification with a response.

Bright Side welcomes you to read these emails. This correspondence changed her life.  It could possibly change yours as well.

Dear Tech Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slowdown
in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as:
  • Romance 9.5
  • Personal Attention 6.5

and then installed undesirable programs such as:
  • NBA 5.0
  • NFL 3.0
  • Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and House cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?
Signed,
Desperate

Dear Desperate,
"First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.
Please enter command: I thought you loved me.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.

If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically
run the applications:
  • Jewelry 2.0
  • Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default
to

  • Grumpy Silence 2.5
  • Happy Hour 7.0
  • Beer 6.1

Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please, do not attempt to re-install the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot
learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend: Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie.

Good Luck!

Parmesan Potato Wedges

These would have been awesome during yesterdays game, you know that little game that everyone was watching either for the game itself or the half time show or the commercials.

But I really think they would be perfect any time you want to have some homemade fries (like steak fries only better) to serve with lunch or dinner, especially when they are this easy.

Parmesan Potato Wedges made easy with Tupperware

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450° F
  2. Combine ingredients in a medium Thatsa bowl, seal and shake until potatoes are coated.
  3. Spread out potatoes onto baking sheet lined with Silicone Wonder® Mat.
  4. Bake 25–30 minutes, until potatoes are tender and deep golden brown.

I will definitely be keeping this one in the ready for all those times you want something "different" to do with potatoes to go with dinner ...

Shake and Bake Chickpeas

Personally I love using Chickpeas.  I use them in salads all the time and mashed in a hummus like spread on a veggie sandwich.

I've also seen them used in some diet programs to increase the daily fiber intake as well as help to lower the LDL levels (that's the bad stuff) and triglycerides.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chickpeas, cooked
  • 1 tsp. coarse kosher salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. cumin
  • ½ tsp. coriander
  • 1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Combine ingredients in medium bowl (a Thatsa bowl would work great), seal and shake until chickpeas are fully coated.
  3. Spread coated chickpeas out onto baking sheet lined with Silicone Wonder® Mat.
  4. Bake 35–40 minutes or until dry and crunchy.
Now of course I have to see if I can used the canned version of chickpeas and just drain and dry with a paper towel and get the same results.  I've never seen "cooked" chickpeas unless it really does mean the canned kind. Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen "in a bag" kind either.

It's Super Bowl Sunday!

Do you have your pick in?

Who are you routing for?
Peyton and The Broncos?
or
Cam and The Panthers?

Or are you just a Half-time show watcher?
Are you expecting something special from Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars, who are scheduled to perform?  Or are you hoping to see if there are any other "special" guests that will make an appearance?

Or do you just watch to see the TV ads?
You know those that are super expensive (to go with the Super Bowl), that we sometimes see sneak previews of.

I think that many of the ad folks who come up with these ads try to be either really really sweet or really really stupid just so we will talk about them.  Some years I can't even remember what the ads were because they were so stupid.

But I really love the Budweiser Ads every year.
Do you remember where this one is from?

There is always something refreshing about these ads that make you remember them.  I think that one of the things that are memorable about these ads are of course the Clydesdales but also that they are down to Earth.  There is no raunchy aspects to the ads like some others, who I think do it just because they can.  Budweiser doesn't have to.
This one from 2013 was recently named the #1 all time favorite, and yes it is one of my all time favorites too.

And then there was this one from 1979 (wow that was forever ago) where Coke made history as well.  This was the other one in the running for #1 of all time.  I think for the longest time it was #1.  And of course I think it is pretty good too.

What is/are your favorite Super Bowl TV ads?

Time to live your dreams

As we get ready for another storm system that is bringing some of that "wonderful" white stuff to the Northeast.
No I'm not really thrilled about this but wanted to start the day with a little inspiration.  You know to put a smile on my face and make me think a little before the daily rush begins.

For all you Dreamers out there, here is something to share with others.  Especially with those who keep telling you to stop dreaming and start living.
Because YOU ARE living, especially if you remember to put your dreams into your daily life.
