We've gotten towels (check), sheets (check), blanket (check), under-bed storage, shoes/sneakers/etc (check check). All these things are important, but we got to thinking about cooking food. Yes everybody needs to have a meal plan when living on campus (to be honest I think that's a good thing) but sometimes you want to eat when the dining halls aren't open. Or you want something "different".
Now most dorms will only allow a microwave as a "cooking" option, not even a toaster is allowed because of the danger of fire. We all know that not everything works in the microwave - some things are just not made for the microwave (metal a definite no-no, some paper products just melt) and others just don't make for great cooking options (rubber chicken just isn't appetizing).
Well Tupperware has some fantastic options that we have gotten for her. If you are interested in any of these shown or anything else you see on the Tupperware Product Site just give me a shout. I can get your order set up and shipped (US or Canada) with very little trouble.
How about a breakfast maker?
Eggs/omelets/oatmeal all a breeze in this compact little gem.
A microwave steamer lets them make all kinds of things ....
In the Stack Cooker, you can brown meats, cook casseroles and bake cake and desserts in your microwave. I've got some great recipes for this one perfect for a microwave dinner nobody will realize it was cooked in the microwave.
Or if she comes home when she is working on the weekend (if? we all know she will be back home when she's working the weekends) I can always send back "leftovers" or make her some "leftovers" to take back with her in these great vent sets. These could get LOTS of use. Maybe even if she brings leftovers from restaurants back to her dorm (she is the leftover queen) she might actually eat them if she can reheat them in these!
But they also have a pasta maker and a rice cooker for the microwave as well as plates, bowls, glasses, pitchers ....... they have thought of all kinds of ways to cook meals in the microwave and then eat them in style, that are nice looking and compact which are fabulous for dorms / apartments / small kitchens.
If you would like to order any of these, or any other of the great products that Tupperware carries, please feel free to contact me, via email, so I can get it set up for you or search for an online party that you can "invite yourself to" and then place your order.
At least one part of sending your kids off to college becomes less stressful - thanks Tupperware for some great products! Anyone else think these are a great idea? I've been finding some really great recipes for these too - I may have to get myself a set just so I won't be

These are some great ideas. I'm sending my son back to college with the new pasta cooker--He's going to be SO happy! He also has those vented leftover containers and loves them.
In case you're curious, I found your post via Twitter.
Jenn is getting pretty happy about the things I have gotten her too - she keeps saying it will almost be like living home ...... never have to worry about being hungry at 9 or 10 PM
Thanks for stopping by.
That is such a great idea. Wish someone had dome this for me when I was going away to college. I remember suffering from being hungry until I moved to a dorm that had an actual kitchen in the basement. I was a happy camper!
I love that egg maker! I may get one for my boys, they love having eggs every morning and they're getting old enough now to do it themselves!
New follower here and I found you on the 99!
