Who got it from Delilah, but not sure where she got it from, or if she made it herself.
But what I did / do know is that everyone needs to see it and take it to heart.
We all know that no one is promised a future, we are just promised that what lies ahead would be worth the trip.
Regrets, should not be part of that trip.
Thanks for the reminder Delilah
That is a great quote. My Momma passed away in April and there are so many things that I wish I would have said to her.
ReplyDeleteI try not to live my life in regrets, but there is always something you wish you could have done, said or didn't do!I think it is a life long and life changing lesson to learn. Live each day in a Christ like way and you are more apt to live the life you are meant to live.
ReplyDeletePart of not living regrets is refusing to carry false guilt. Sometimes, nothing else could have been done and accepting that releases a lot of emotional baggage.
ReplyDeleteThe quote has truth to it, but never live with regret for things you cannot change.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! It's so true. I try to remember this everyday but we get caught up in life and our routines that sometimes we forget to talk to the ones we love.
ReplyDeleteYes, excellent reminder. Regret is one of the most painful things to feel, it's best to live so that you have little.
ReplyDeleteHave to say I have a very bad habit of internalizing everything and not revealing my true thoughts just to avoid a uncomfortable situation
ReplyDeleteWhat great words to live by. I will be sharing them with my kids, Thanks
ReplyDeleteSo true, I just lost my friend to cancer, she was 35 with 3 young kids, everything to live for. You just never know.
ReplyDeleteOh that is a wonderful one! Such a great reminder to us all!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's hard to express our feelings but so worth it to try.
ReplyDeleteYes it is so true. I recently lost my best friend in a tragic twist of fate. Still trying to find out all what happened. I am pretty verbal however and as my son says, Mom doesn't have a filter on her mouth. Pretty much true I guess. I say what comes to my head blat just like that. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great reminder! My Dad passed away unexpectedly almost six years ago, and since then I try to practice this every day, because I know that tomorrow is never guaranteed.
ReplyDeleteI hear that! Here's another relevant quote, from Emerson: "Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year."
ReplyDeleteActually, a more relevant quote would be this one from CASABLANCA: "Shame on you, Rick, throwing women away like that. They may be scarce someday!"
What a great quote! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great quote. It really is very candid. You never know what moment may be your last.
ReplyDeleteVery good reminder. Who knows where we'll be tomorrow.

I try to live by these words!~
ReplyDeleteI'm not certain this is 100 percent a good idea. We tend to have some petty thoughts when we are emotional that don't need to be shared!

Such a great quote! A good reminder for me to always speak and let others know how you feel every day! :)
I enjoyed reading about the feelings and I am glad you shared this. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteIt's also a good idea to apologize sooner than later. Too many people lose someone and never got the chance to say I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI have lost so many people, Mom, husband, friends, step dad etc., all in a short period of time. I learned this early on and became a nicer person after their deaths. Just 9-11 was something that have heightened people's love meters!
I am trying to be better with expressing my feelings but sometimes I put up a guard. I have had somethings happen to me which have caused this so I am just extra cautious but I want to be a happy person with a good life.
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing quote, thank you.
ReplyDeleteSuch wise words! Thank you so much for the wisdom <3
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post. It's one reason I always try to be nice to everyone. I don't know what the rest of their day or life is like, so I don't want to be the person that adds to their problems or causes them to be upset.
ReplyDeleteWords to live by. I will share with my kids tonight at dinner
ReplyDeleteI try to do this (with positive feelings).
ReplyDeleteVery profound :) Pinning this, thank you.
ReplyDeleteYou just never know, nothing is guaranteed. Time is something that can slip away so easily.
ReplyDeleteTruly a nice sentiment.
ReplyDeleteNo words are truer and I live by them every single day. Whether good or bad, I tell how I feel or what I need to say because I never want to have any regrets. Thank you for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteExcellent reminder for everyone. Thanks.

This is a great sentiment that so many people learn too late. I personally try to keep it to heart as much as possible, especially considering certain recent events in my life lately.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true; I know last month when my mom was very sick, I flew back from California to Minnesota to visit her (even though I hadn't been back to MN for 16 years!) and I'm very glad I did, as she lost consciousness the day after I arrived and then passed away the next day! I'm so glad I went back and and got the chance to see her when she was still alive, awake and alert!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great quote for our community at the moment. We live in a small town here in Illinois and i'm not exaggerating at all, we are losing 1-2 young people a day due to a heroin epidemic. I've lost a couple people who were very dear to my heart at one point in my life due to their addiction. Then of course this quote makes you realize what you still have and to let them know as well!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great quote and I always try to remember that no one is promised tomorrow and all we have is right now.
ReplyDeleteI try to tell the people I love that I love them.
ReplyDeleteSharing your feelings can be very important.
