Snacks for Snow Season

When I first started thinking about holiday get-togethers this winter, I thought about what I can do that is a little different from the norm.

This would definitely be unexpected, but would also be very easy to have ready for any "drop in" visitors.  And you could use this as a base idea and then make it your own, with the things you like.

I can also see these as big hits in your kids lunch boxes, just make sure you won't have any issues with "banned" foods based on your district.

Yield: 16
Serving Size: 1 snack cup

Ingredients

  • 24 oz. white chocolate baking pieces
  • 6 cups rice or corn square/checkered cereal or mixture
  • 1 cup mini pretzels, any variety
  • 1 cup plain or honey-roasted peanuts
  • 12 oz. mini candy-coated chocolate candies

Instructions

  1. In the TupperWave® Stack Cooker 3-Qt. Casserole, place baking pieces.
  2. Microwave on high power 45 seconds.
  3. Remove from microwave, let stand 1 minute.
  4. Microwave an additional 45 seconds.
  5. Remove from microwave, let stand 1 minute, stir until smooth.
  6. Gently stir in cereal, pretzels and peanuts until well coated.
  7. Spread mixture evenly onto the Silicone Wonder® Mat; gently press candies into mixture.
  8. Let stand 15 minutes to set.
  9. Break into pieces.
  10. Serve in Snack Cups or the Serving Center or Bowl.
