Apple Berry Salsa

I love having little "different" things when people drop by.  Or treat yourself over the weekend.

This would also be awesome for an afternoon "snack" when kids come home from school or camp so they aren't having a fit when dinner isn't quite ready .... I'm sure you have heard it before ...
Mom I'm starving!
Mom I'm going to die I'm so hungry.
Mom I NEED something to eat!

I wish I had thought about this kind of snack when my kids were little.  I bet they would have loved this one.

I'm thinking this would be a great light dessert or served over pound cake or ice cream.

Ok I will stop - but you definitely get the idea right?

As always the Tupperware pieces can be found on my Tupperware Site at any time of the day (or night), whether you are on the East Coast or the West, in the North or down South.
Any questions ... leave me a message and I will get back to you.

#ValentinaParis Hand Painted Wine Glasses

You may know that I am a wine lover.
We love to go wine tasting in VA every year when we visit my parents.  Now its not just VA wines that we like, but we always find at least one if not more wines that we enjoy.
And of course, bring home a bottle or two.
So when I had the opportunity to try these Wine Glasses I jumped at it.

I thought they really looked nice (and interesting) in their advertising photo above, but when they arrived at my house ... well lets just say the pictures did not do it justice.

These glasses are absolutely gorgeous.  So much so that when I was opening the box, my daughter's boyfriend was here and even he was impressed.  Let's face it, if wine glasses can impress a guy in his twenties ... they must be pretty special.

They are truly a work of art, designed in Paris by professional designers.  Since they are mouth-blown and hand-painted, no two are alike.  They are a really unique gift for you or for the wine lover you know.

They are really tall with a full bowl that holds a substantial amount of wine.
The full bowl allows the wine to breathe and allows you to savor the flavor of both the fragrance of the wine as well as the taste.

You can check out these beautiful wine glasses on Amazon here.  I have my two in my China Hutch, but I really think I need to get a few more sets so that I can share with my friends and family that come to visit.  At the current price it is very doable.

Let me know what you think.
I think it is perfect for every table.

I received my wine glasses at a large discount from ValentinaParis through Tomoso in exchange for my honest review.  I received no other compensation for my review.

Quick Chef Pro and Easy Cooking

I had to share this one because it is at a great price and is so very versatile that I believe it should be in every kitchen.  And now is the perfect time since it is on sale on My Tupperware Site.

There are so many things you can make with this one that I bet you will find at least a half dozen ways to use this every day!

Entertaining?  Quick meal prep?

How about a quick easy way to chop your onions and peppers for dinner?

How about some soft serve ice cream without any preservatives? Like your ice cream a little firmer?  Just pop it the soft serve into the freezer (love my freezer containers for this) for a little bit, an hour or two and your ready. You can even make your own ice cream sandwiches with this ice cream!

How about some really nice salsa to go with your drink?  Here is a nice Mango Salsa using the Quick Chef Pro!

Don't forget, all the Tupperware pieces discussed here can be found on my Tupperware Site.  You can shop or browse in your PJs if that's what you want.  Have a question? Message me and I will get you an answer.

Start the kids cooking with things they love

I don't know about your kids, but mine loved pasta when they were little.  If I was at a loss for what to make and asked for suggestions - pasta was their all time favorite.
And when they went to college (Jenn is a Senior this year) pasta of any kind was always a staple - especially when they didn't like the cafe offerings for the day.  I haven't tried it but I bet you could even make raman noodles in this one.

This works great in the microwave - no watching the pot to add the pasta once the water starts to boil.  Add the pasta, add the water and pop in the microwave.  Once its done, put the lid on to drain.
It is perfect to start your kids helping in the kitchen.  So many "experts" say that if you get your kids involved in the kitchen, they will be more inclined to eat "healthier" and have less eating disorders because they are involved in the process.

Interested?  Yes I bet you are.  Check it out on my Tupperware Site for this and many more things to get your kids involved in the preparation process.  They will thank you for it.

How about some pasta tonight?

Be a beacon

I love scenic pictures.
I try to take these kinds of pictures with my own camera (ok my cellphone) when I find something I think I can do something worthy of its beauty.

This is a pretty picture with an awesome message.  Especially now with all the hate that seems to be spewing out in all kinds of messages, even when they seem to be "innocent" comments.

I challenge you all to be a beacon today.
See how easy it really is to defect all the negativity that we are inundated with, just because you are being your best.

Lets light the world today
and then do it again tomorrow.

Let's make our own beacon of goodness to light the world!

Great ideas for your Tupperware Breakfast Maker!

I had to share these great ideas for the Tupperware Breakfast Maker. We all know that many things we had typically thought would be for "breakfast" isn't just for breakfast anymore.

But how about some of the wonderful things we love to have but don't want to make too much of these tempting treasures, so we do without.  Or maybe it's something that only 1 person in your house likes something and you don't want to waste it when it goes bad.

I'm here to show you that you don't have to do without anymore.  Check out these great ideas.

Even these babies don't need an "oven" anymore ... these are great for the "I want something" but don't want to heat up the kitchen or the house.  I could see these rolls being done in my house, how about yours?

Someone made cornbread using the jiffy mix in the breakfast maker.

You could even turn this into corn dogs for your family.

Oh and you can make poached eggs or omelets or french toast in them too. So as you can see this baby is really versatile!  And at $20 it is worth its weight in gold.

I could see this one in every kitchen AND if you are getting a child ready for college in September (or August) this would be great for dorm rooms ... especially since they all seem to have microwaves in their dorms (either they or their roommates).

Check them out on my Tupperware Site and soon you could be making these dishes in no time at all!

It's National Tequila Day!

I was reminded yesterday while I was at the dentist (pretty cool that they reminded me of this right?) that today is National Tequila Day!

So in honor of this day and watermelon (the summertime treat) I bring you .......

Ingredients:
2 teaspoons sugar
1 lime wedge
3 1/2 cups cubed seeded watermelon
1/2 cup tequila
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon Triple Sec (orange-flavored liqueur)
Lime wedges or watermelon balls (optional)

Instructions:
Place 2 teaspoons sugar in a saucer.

Rub the rims of 6 glasses with 1 lime wedge;
spin rim of each glass in sugar to coat.
Set prepared glasses aside.

Combine watermelon and next 4 ingredients (through Triple Sec) in a blender; process until smooth.
Fill each prepared glass with 1/2 cup crushed ice.
Add 1/2 cup margarita to each glass.
Garnish with lime wedges or melon balls, if desired.

I found this recipe on myrecipes.com (which has some really interesting recipes for all kinds of things), that I think would be perfect for today as well as any Summertime get together!

The only thing I would change (and this is because I don't want to take an electric blender outside) is to use my Tupperware PowerChef or Quick Chef Pro to combine everything.  Both are so much easier to clean than the blender, require no electricity (great around a pool) and are a whole lot lighter, but are power horses, than that blender you probably have hidden in a cabinet or on a corner of your counter.

 Power Chef Premium System

Quick Chef Pro

Check out these Tupperware pieces on my Tupperware Site.  They are so versatile, so easy to use and clean, that you will be using them at least a few times a week - I know I do. I use them for chopping, for salsa, for mixing batters (yes the Power Chef can be used to mix cakes!) and now I will be using them to make things like the Watermelon Margarita!

Dreams don't expire

Sometimes we need to be reminded that dreams don't expire.  You can change your dreams because of things that have reshaped your original dream but they don't expire.

Sometimes you just need to go through some failures in the execution of your dream to make it perfect for you.

In that case, this is perfect - try again!

Easy Chimichurri Skirt Steak

OH OH YUMMMMMMM

Easy Chimichurri Skirt Steak

This really looks so good, and I bet you could do this with any type of steak, but Skirt Steak was what they used.  You would just need to gauge your time based on what your "doneness" level is if you used any other cut of meat.

Chimichurri is usually used on red meat, but I have seen it used on chicken as well.  I say if you like it who cares what type of protein you use it on -- your food, your rules.  Enjoy!

As always, the Tupperware pieces/seasonings mentioned here can be found on my Tupperware Site.

Do you have Stained containers?

I saw this one the other day and thought I need to share this one.

I have heard many people "complaining" about having stains on their Tupperware, especially if it has had something tomato based stored in it.  You see tomato based anything is usually a definite stain maker no matter what you do.

I've hear that using Pam spray helps, but I don't know if that works for sure or not.  I've not tried it.  I haven't tried this one either - but it is a Tupperware Tip (#TWTIP) - I was thinking it was definitely worth a try.

Have you tried this?
Let me know if you get to try it before I do ... curious minds want to know.

Staining is one of the few things that aren't covered under our limited lifetime warranty, so although the stains don't bother me, and generally I'm the only one that sees them anyway ...  But I will be trying this one for sure.

Rib Eye with Red Wine Mushroom Sauce

My hubby is a definite meat and potatoes type of guy.
I can make pretty much anything meat and potatoes and he will eat it.  Well almost anything.  He's not a fan of mushrooms, neither is my daughter.

Now I would love this just as it is, and I bet I could still get them both to eat this one, just don't put the mushrooms on their plate.

The Tupperware products and seasonings can be found on my Tupperware Site, as well as many other products you might like.

Do you remember the TupperCanoe?

I think this is one of the cutest toys that Tupperware had in the past.

We have, for this week only, the ability for you to pick up your own "vintage" Tupper Toy, perhaps from your childhood.  I know I will be getting one for my collection.  I have the Noah's Ark, the Shape-O toy in different colors and some of the other "vintage" toys so you can be sure I will be grabbing this one too.

It is only available until Friday July 24th, so if you are like me and love the old "toys" and some of the "vintage" pieces, you want to make sure your order is placed before July 24th when its mold will once again be put back in the vault ...  Check out my Tupperware Site or Message me and we can get you set up! Not sure if it will be available online, or just directly through a consultant, but I can help if that is the case.  I love what I do.

Join my team and you can get 1st notice of products and sales and of course a discount on your personal purchases.  You can check that out on my site as well, or give me a shout and we can talk about all the wonderful opportunities that Tupperware has to offer.

PORTOBELLO CIABATTA MELTS

It's burger time but we don't want to leave out those who don't like or preferred to not eat meat ... right?

For those folks, I introduce the Portobello Ciabatta Melt.

These really do look good, don't you think?

And of course it looks pretty easy to make.

All of the Tupperware pieces/seasonings can be found on my Tupperware Site.

I've been issued a Tupperware challenge

Can you help?

There are all kinds of wonderful things on my Tupperware Site that you need .. some you might not even realize that we have.  A pressure cooker for your microwave, a mandolin and so much more.

Please check it out and if you can, help me out.
You can place your order directly from my site or you could place your order on the current July Party

Thanks for your help.

What's your Super Power?

Some people are brilliant.
Some people are strong, super hero strong. Sometimes strong is physical and other times it is emotional.  But its still "strong".

Some people can see things that others don't.
Some people "appear" to read minds, because they are there when you need them most.
These are the very sensitive people.  They are sometimes mocked for being so sensitive.  But they really do seem to have a super power. They really do seem to have a "trait" that is so needed in the world today.

I like this one.  When children are sensitive and are young, they need something to "hang their hat on" so they know it's ok to be sensitive.  It's not something to be mocked.

Everyone has a super power, they just don't always see it as a super power.

What's your super power?

Home made Brownies QUICK

I have shared this one on my Facebook page (which I "borrowed" from an email from a friend) but wanted to post it here as well because .. well sometimes things get missed or lost on Facebook.  At least I find that they do for me.

What I really like about this one is that you can have those chocolate brownies no matter what time of day it is, no matter how hot it is in your kitchen (or house) because you can make them in the microwave!

Yes in the microwave.  AWESOME

I love my Tupperware pieces, as I am sure you already knew (hence being a Tupperware consultant where I also get a discount on my purchases), but this is just another reason to have them in your cabinet. I love all kinds of things you can make, like these brownies (probably have these ingredients in your refrigerator and pantry) without heating up the house!

But of course you could make them during the winter months too ... when someone comes home from school needing some "love".

Want to pick up some of these pieces, or see what else we have to offer?  Check it out on my Tupperware Site or message me and we can see what we can do.

Want to join my team?  Check out my post - Join my team that I wrote earlier this month, or visit my Tupperware Site and look around, then message me and we can talk.  I can get you set up for all kind of wonderful "extras" with just a little bit of work on your part.  But I'm not sure I would call it work ... more like having fun and having a party!

We all have Fruitcake Friends

I know, when you saw the title you just HAD to click and check this one out.

I started to laugh thinking how silly this is. That was until I could start seeing some of my friends (and family but that's another post) that fit into these "categories".

I'm betting that you can too.

So now that you have stopped laughing, what do you think?
Do you have friends that fit into each of those categories?

I see you thinking about it.  I'm right aren't I?
You DO see your friends like this,
And you are so much better for it,
Aren't you?

Happy Monday
This is a great way to
start the week.

Who's life will be changed today

I love this reminder.

Some days I just don't want to be "bothered" with people.  I just want to stay in my own little portion of the world and just "be". I like to think we all have those days - that it's not just me.

But, I think, when things are difficult, the tendency is to stay tucked away, to hide so you don't have to deal with anything or anybody else.  We just don't want to see anyone.

These are all examples of times when we really NEED to meet people.

We just need to reach out and touch someone.
Maybe it is because YOU need it.
Or maybe its because THEY need it.

Let's go out today and change someone's life today.  Let's go out and make a difference.

It could be what you need today.

It's Tupperware's Mid July Specials!

Just wanted to make sure that you all saw the special pieces and/or prices in the Mid July brochure.  Some pretty nice things can be found here.  These pieces are available on my Tupperware Site, and to make it super easy for you to order .. I've created a party just for July.

If you saw my earlier post, you saw that July is National Ice Cream month and Tupperware is making it easy for you to participate with some pretty nice pieces on sale this month.  I am loving the ice cream stackers, making my own ice cream sandwiches so everyone can select their own flavor of cookie or ice cream.
And making your own soft serve ice cream in the Quick Chef Pro is super easy and at this price a real steal.

I hope you will be checking out all the wonderful things that Tupperware has to offer on my Tupperware Site.
Any questions?  Leave me a message below or send me a question from my Tupperware Site.

National Ice Cream Month

Did you know that July was National Ice Cream Month?
Nope neither did I, but Tupperware did.

They have put together a great sale along with some interesting ideas on how to have a great celebration.  You can check these out on my Tupperware site, and so much more.

I really really like my Quick Chef Pro for all kinds of things ... including ice cream.  Our ice cream scoop is the BEST, even hubby asked if we could replace the one at our Florida condo for our tenants with the Tupperware one ... because he wanted them to have the best!

Now these ice cream sandwich makers are the bomb!
I couldn't wait to make a bunch when I got my sample.  I actually have a few in the freezer right now just waiting for us to devour.

Here is a quick recipe to make using those products in the flyer.

Keep in touch for even more to come.
Remember there is always something going on at Tupperware and you can check them out on my Tupperware site at any time - even in your pjs if that's how you like to brows or shop!

Check it out ... I even set up a July party for you to place your orders .. Made it as easy as I could because I loves ya!
And don't forget to check out the mid-July specials that start today too.

Walk with Purpose

I saw this one and thought this needs to be part of what we teach our daughters from the very beginning, not just when they are older.

But then I thought all our children need to be taught this.  Because our future leaders need to recognize that a woman who succeeds is not to be feared but embraced.

Too many times, woman who succeed, or are in a position of "power", are still thought of a "pushy" or "sleeping her way to the top" or are the ever popular "b" word.  Sometimes that stops them from trying to do better, to be better, to succeed.

Ok Ladies, its time to start walking with purpose.  EVERY day.

Let's make it our "mission" to walk in PURPOSE so that people WANT to be with us, to BRING things to us so that they can also do better, be better, to succeed.

Turmerex Turmeric 95% Extract #vitavana

I received a bottle of Turmerex Turmetic 95% Extract to facilitate my review.  I received no further compensation for my honest review.

I have heard that Turmeric is a wonderful thing for your health, and  I have been looking for quite awhile for different ways to get more of the healthy benefits of Turmeric into my daily plan.  Unfortunately I just couldn't find a way to incorporate it into my cooking on a regular basis.  You see curry is not a big hit in this house, so that was out, and how many times can you have rice flavored with Turmeric?

Enter Turmerex Turmetic 95% Extract.  What I thought was great about this product is that I got all the benefits of Turmeric in my daily diet without a lot of fuss or muss.  No hearing about having the same thing for dinner or not liking what I made because its "yellow".

I can have the benefits in a way that was suggested without any aftertaste.  The little pill (capsule) is perfect for me.  And of course I like the orangy yellow color.  Just don't be leaving it sit outside the bottle - the cotton in the bottle was "stained" yellow where it had touched the capsule for an extended period of time.

Each Turmerex capsule contains 712.5mg of curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, that has been studied for its ability to support the body's ability to fight many health related issues.  It also contains 5 mg of BioPerine, an extract from black pepper, which enhances the absorption of the curcumin.  It containes NO added artificial ingredients or flavors - another added benefit.

The bottle holds a 2 month supply which is great.  You have an adequate supply in one purchase to know that it is working for you without having to make 2 or 3 purchases, another benefit.

I haven't used this product for very long, so I still have a little more than half the bottle yet to use, but I will most definitely be finishing the bottle.  And if things continue, I will be purchasing another bottle. Yes I am finding that it is working for me.   I came down with a "summer cold" or something similar to that description that started right before I started taking Turmerex.  I thought that I should wait until I kicked this but then I thought no this would be a great test.  Does it help support your immune system?  I think it does.  I was done with the cold or whatever it was in less than 5 days after starting!

Now I'm not saying that this was the sole reason  this cold or whatever was gone in such a short period of time, but I really didn't take anything else except for a cold tablet the first night.   So I am continuing to take my daily capsule to see if come winter I won't be worried about a low immune system.  And of course we could all use support for our joints and cognitive function.

Tacos al Pastor

This one looks interesting.
We don't do a lot of Tacos here, hubby is more of a meat and potato kind of guy.

He has gotten a bit better, trying "different" things but I'm not sure he's ready for tacos. This may be a Jenn and I meal when he has a dinner meeting.

Although this is for the Stack Cooker (which I love) I bet you could make this in the Pressure Cooker too.  Either way I'm pretty sure it will taste spectacular!

Don't have a Tupperware Stack Cooker or a Pressure Cooker?
Check them out on my Tupperware Site.
Yes, they are a different kind of Tupperware from those "burp" bowls.  Yes they are a little expensive, but they are worth their weight in gold.  And if you purchase them on my site, I will send you a file I have with recipes for whichever you get.  You just need to leave your email address.

The Tea Love Co Slender Blend Tea

I received a package of the Tea Love Co's Slender Blend Tea to assist in my review, I received no other compensation.  These are my thoughts on this product.  I hope it will be of use to you in your search for new products.

I have heard on more than one occasion that Green Tea has some pretty strong properties that assist in weight loss.  I think every plan I have ever read (or used) before have proclaimed that Green Tea is THE best thing to drink - right behind water!  This is also proclaimed in the company's description of their product.

The company notes that the tea's assistance in weight loss comes from the synergy of 3 of its main ingredients: natural caffeine to stimulate the metabolism, L-theanine which neutralizes the harmful side effects of caffeine and acts as an appetite suppressant, and EGCG which causes you to burn fat faster and more efficiently. They say that these ingredients are naturally occurring in our teas and not synthetically added.

One of the things that I really liked about this tea pack is that it gives a good supply of loose tea, that had a nice aroma when the package was opened.  It had one of those "zip/snap" closure so that it could stay closed and fresh once it was opened - sometimes tea packers seem to forget that and you either have to find something to put your loose tea in or have one heck of a large tea party.

If you have had Green Tea before, and I'm sure you have, you know that it has a much "lighter" taste than the usual Black Tea as well as being a much lighter color when it has been brewed.

One of the things that I was a bit discouraged by was the lack of "directions".   Yes the package notes that the serving was 1 tsp. but it neglected to mention how hot the water should be, how long it should be brewed.  Or even how many "cups" you should drink a day. So it was a learning process for me.  I know that different kinds of teas require different temperatures of water to brew correctly as well as how long.

I used a brew basket that I had (we really like loose teas) and added water that was just below boiling (or let it cool a little if it started to boil) and let it sit to brew for 5 minutes.

I can't say that it has made a difference with the weight loss or not. I'm not sure if it is because of the heat and humidity here in NJ or if I'm not drinking enough, but I do like the light flavor of the tea and will continue to it drink daily. Who knows, I could be really surprised when the weather changes here in the East and need to replace a few things in my closet.
