Then I found Decorausa.com. There are some really interesting pieces that could make a room light up (and I'm not just talking about their lighting options, that are fabulous looking).
This is one of those pieces I liked - yes it is a bookend, but it really is interesting don't you think?
You could end up with some very interesting conversations with a precocious child or another adult because we all are a bit precocious deep down right?
Then I started looking around at some of the vases that they had, thinking that they might be both useful and decorative.
I love the colors in these Dale Tiffany Vases.
Both of them are so unique, but I think they would compliment each other in any room.
I can see these on a book shelf or a dining room buffet, that would make the flowers in them just pop, no matter how simple or "fussy" they were.
Just looks interesting all by itself too ... so those of us that can't seem to keep cut flowers looking fresh - this would be perfect!
But I think if you wanted something that was whimsical or fun for a small indoor garden, I think these would be an outstanding addition. I remember when I was a kid, my mom always had "plants" in one corner of the living room. It was her way of trying to bring the outdoors in, and I think even today, there are many people who try to do the same thing. But sometimes when you have so many plants in a "small" area it just seems to taken over and you lose that "fun" aspect of having something green living in your house. Well I would bet that these would put the fun back in being green!
The wonderful people at Decorausa have offered one of my readers a store credit of $75 to use any way you chose - the online site is FABULOUS. Maybe for those cute frogs up there or a nice vase or for any other item that tickles your fancy. I know there were lots of pieces I would LOVE to have myself, especially with my current desire to redecorate.
