Baked Apples

Don't these look FABULOUS??

It is definitely APPLE season and this is just another way to serve them that would be so pretty on your table.

Baked Apples

Serves 6
Prep 20 minutes
Cook 35 - 40 minutes

1/4 cup oats
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp Simple Indulgence Cinnamon-Vanilla Seasoning Blend
4 tbsp butter, melted
6 medium Granny Smith Apples
1/2 cup Apple Juice
1/3 cup Maple Syrup

Preheat Oven 375 degrees

Topping:
Place Oats through butter into base of Power Chef System with Blade Attachment.  Cover and pull cord 6-8 times until pecans are chopped and ingredients are well mixed.  Set aside.

Cut off top of apples about 1/4 inch and reserve.  Cut out core to about 1/2 inch from apple bottom (don't go all the way through).  Remove a thin slice from bottom of apple so it will sit upright.  Pack 1/4 cup of topping into apple and put top back on.  Repeat with remaining apples.  Set apples into the Cover of the Ultra Pro Lasagna Pan.

Combine Apple Juice and Maple Syrup.  Pour into the base of the Ultra Pro Cover.  Bake for 35 - 40 minutes or until Apples are fork tender.    (I love being about to use my Tupperware in the oven too! but remember its just the Ultra Pro Pans and Covers that can do microwave and oven)

To serve drizzle apple/syrup glaze over each apple and serve warm.

I could see this with some fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream ....... awesomeness abounds!!

I am trying to follow this recipient but not all ingredients are referenced. Can you clarify where the additional ingredients come in? And what does it mean to pour the oats through the butter? Thanks in advance for your help.

She means to add all of the ingredients in the list fro the oats down to the butter into the mixer. :)
