See sometimes mothers do know what they are talking about ... I use to think my mother was crazy when she told me something very "similar" to this when I was young and dating.
When you are looking for that "forever" person you need to remember this. It's really easy to love someone when everything is going great (if that is really love) but when times get tough .... maybe this is part of the reason why the divorce rate in America is so high.

I agree with your Mom and it is the reason I have stayed single--never did find the guy who would stick through thick and thin or conversely who I could stick with. I'm not sure if this is the reason divorce is so prevalent nowadays-but it could be.
I agree with your mom! I think that is the reason there are so many divorces. Most people want everything to go easy and smooth and don't have what it takes to take the bad with the good. They give up to easily.
