My First Tupperware Party

Since I have just recently become a Tupperware Consultant (my supplies/product/kit is on its way), I thought it would be a great idea to have a PARTY.

I absolutely LOVE this canister set.  I have one that I have had for, no lie, 30 years and I STILL use it today.  These are the best canisters - you can always see what you have (so you know when to buy) and they keep everything airtight/dry/free of "bugs" - I may just have to pick up another set!

What better way to start this new venture than to have an ONLINE Party that EVERYONE can attend.  You can order for shipment to the United States AND Canada!  You get to order some of the "tried and true" Tupperware products, some in new colors, as well as some of the "new and/or improved" Tupperware products.  Like this Early Ages Eco Snack Set for babies on the go - the set has 4 cups 4 oz each to keep snacks fresh while you are out and about.  And they look pretty cute too!
The party will run from today through midnight Eastern Time on August 13th so you have some time to check out all the great products (and get in on some of the AWESOME discounts) that are available at this time of year.  You can even get a super cute lunch kit for your son or daughter, at a discount/sale price to start this school year in style!  Here's the girl's camo kit - is this not the cutest looking lunchbox?  The boys camo kit is in blue - nice dark Brilliant blue.

I know I have some things that I already know I want to get for both gifts and my own use.  I have lots of those grocery store containers that need to get tossed/replaced ....... and Tupperware is THE WAY to go!  It lasts so much longer and is so much nicer, don't you think?  I do.

Here we have a Freezer-mate starter set that has a special savings price available based on your purchases.

Check it out and see - you might want to redo your cabinets with all the great Tupperware options and this ONLINE Party is a great way to go

If after looking at all the great things you can order, you want to hold your own party - even your own online party - just let me know and I will get it all set up for you.

Central Jersey - the best of all worlds.

As I am sure you all know I am a New Jerseyite (I think that's a word because that is what I am) and have to say that I really do love living here, ok so I don't like the taxes but well no place is perfect right?  I have found a great website that I can refer my friends and family, that don't live in NJ anymore, to see why they should be back.  This site, Gocentraljersey.com, is even perfect for showing people who don't live here, why I love living in NJ.  There are so many places to go, so many things to do, that you really can't get "bored" living here.

There are a ton of Golf Courses, both public and private, to play on - heck we even recently joined one (I think you've seen pictures on my Facebook Page).  Hubby gets to play golf and Jenn and I get to use the pool.  After the pool closes for the season, I get to use the fitness room too!  Oh yes that will definitely help for next pool season.

If you are looking for Arts and Entertainment, I have to tell you that New Jersey is a great place.  I have been to some great concerts at the PNC Art's Center - in fact we saw the second to the last concert EVER given by Brooks and Dunn at the Art's Center.  It was the BEST!   I think we have also seen a concert that Reba had there as well, and all the seats were wonderful - I don't think there was a bad seat in the house.  But if concerts aren't your thing, we also have Museums and Art Galleries and so much more.  There is always something going on in Central Jersey that you really need to check out the Events by Month so you don't miss out on anything.

Now lets not think that everything is "Adult" oriented here in New Jersey, we have some awesome things for kids too.  How about a planetarium?  Raritan Valley Community College Planetarium is perfect for that.  Or Kidz Village in Woodbridge, or for everyone in the family we have Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson.

If you are not from New Jersey you should check out some of the deals that are being offered so that you don't miss out on any of the discounts that are available.  And of course don't miss the Shopping.  Now personally I'm not a fan of shopping, but we have some of the best shopping around.  Yes I did say that.

If you need to travel, you will want to check out the "For Planners" section that has everything you need from hotels to tours so that you can really enjoy your stay in New Jersey.

I have been living in New Jersey (Central Jersey) for my entire adult life and even went to college here in New Jersey (Rider University).  My daughter is following that tradition by continuing her college education at Rutgers (she will be a Junior there in just a few short weeks).  I am really excited for her because Rutgers is a wonderful school but it is also somewhat close to home but far enough away that she gets to live on campus.  She gets the best of both worlds.   Maybe your son or daughter is looking at schools after High School.  Rutgers would be great!  Go Scarlet Knights!  Who knows, maybe we will see you there.

While you are at it, why don't you check out their Facebook Page.  You just never know what you might find there ...... maybe something else to entice you to visit us.  Remember, if you need to know what is so very special and unique about Central Jersey, you really want to check out   Gocentraljersey.com, they are "in the know".  Hope to see you there and here again soon!

This is a paid review of the sites shown above.  Although I was compensated for my review, these are my opinions that were in no way colored by remuneration.

Tupperware - Online Party Time!!

Do you remember Tupperware?  I ask this because there are a lot of people who thought Tupperware was gone with all the hype about those "other" containers.  They are still around, going strong and have LOTS of new and refreshing items in their catalog of items.  Yes they still have quite a few of the old tried and true from kitchen items, to storage items to kids toys!  I saw one of the kids toys that I really loved when my kids were little.
Actually I still have it sitting in a plastic tub waiting until it is needed again.  It is still in perfect shape after 2 rough and ready kids playing with it.  I'm thinking I need to pick up another one to add to a baby gift for one of the girls in the office..... shhhh I didn't say that.

Personally, I love Tupperware.  I love it so much I just recently became a Tupperware Consultant.  If you are interested in becoming a Tupperware rep, just let me know - message me here or send me an email - I can set you up AND get you the Executive kit ($525 value) for $119.99 AND if you sign up before August 17th, you can pay in 3 installments!    If that is too much (even with the 3 installments) how about the Business Kit ($355 value) for $79.99 or the Summer Starter ($197.50 value) for $50.00  again with 3 monthly installments.

Wouldn't you like to enjoy more Tupperware AND make some money sharing the fun with your friends and family?  Think about becoming a rep yourself or holding your own party with me.  You know we can do Online Parties, if you have friends and family that would love to join in the fun but can't make it to your home.  Just something to think about.   Let me know if you want me to get you hooked up and ready to start - its super easy.

Look at some of the things that are are sale through August 10th!  If you want to join the "online" party I set up as my "first ever", you are more than welcome to do so, just click on one of the pictures and your in.  This party will be open until August 13th.  You could be enjoying all these great sales with just a click!  Click on over.  Oh and because it is online if you are in Canada you can order too!  Just need to click on the top right where it says "Shopping from Canada" and you are IN!  Don't find that very often do you?  See Tupperware loves you just like I do.

Meet my friend Billie

While I am checking out (read this as verifying) the entries in my latest giveaway for a Celebrating Home Bean Pot, I'd like for you to check out my friend's blog page and new facebook page.

Billie is a Celebrating Home Consultant and a Tupperware Representative.

In fact she has gotten me to be a Tupperware Representative too.  I love me some Tupperware!  So if you are looking for some Tupperware to replace that cheap stuff that's falling apart in your cabinet you can contact me or Billie, they are having some AWESOME sales right now.

If you could show Billie some bloggy love on her homemadebybillie  blog and/or on her homemadebybillie Facebook Page I would appreciate it.  I kept telling her she should be doing this - but well it took a little bit of a gentle "nudge" (ok a big ole push) and I want her to know that it is a great place to post her recipes and meet some great people.

When you like or follow her pages - tell her that Kat sent you over.

Ok off to start checking entries...... See you soon.

x-ray scanner/airport "frisk"

Well we have yet another "first" for our vacation this year.  As I sit in the terminal at the airport in Ft Myers I get to claim another first for me.

They had to give me a "special gate pass" because my boarding pass had "Kathy" not "Kathleen" even though we has asked the United people to change it after we got here (they change my account but forgot my reservation).

Then here in Florida they use the X-ray screening (wasnt working in Newark when we left) and then when I got out of that booth I got a slight patdown/frisk.  Gee that was fun :)

Well need to put this away before I use up the battery.  Will check in after we get back home (ok probably tomorrow)  Everyone have a great afternoon and evening.  Dont forget my giveaway - still a few days left (say hi to Billie for me)

Pretty View

to wake up to .... isn't it?
Yesterday was a bit "dark" as we had some rain on and off in the morning (we even had a really pretty rainbow over the boats) but today its clear.

So what do you think, am I not super lucky?  I just love waking to this view each morning.

Happy Friday the 13th - Part 2

Yes it is Friday
Yes it is the 13th

SO that makes it Friday the 13th.  But it is not a scary day - right?

It is a wonderful day.  Its Friday and the count down to the weekend starts in less than 8 hours.  What wonderful things do you have planned for the weekend?

I think I will be walking on the beach, looking for interesting shells to add to our shell collection.  And sitting by the pool - but perhaps that was expected - right?

Have a wonderful day and weekend if you are out and about and not stopping back here.

I can say I'm on VACATION

I am really surprised.  This was suppose to be a working trip with a little vacation thrown in.

We arrived Friday night and expected this whole week would be a searching week with the hope of everything being selected/delivered by weeks end or early the following week so I could relax for a few days before having to board that plane back home.

Well surprise surprise surprise .... what I thought would take a week or more is DONE!  Shut my mouth - I am done!  I now have all the rest of the time to relax and check out some things I never thought I would  have time for.

Now I need your suggestions.  What is everyone reading now?  I have my XOOM with the Kindle app so I have all kinds of options and someone left me a paperback copy of The Help.

What should I be reading?  What great books have you read lately?

I'll see if I can get some pictures posted later but reading suggestions would help in the relaxation department.

Celebrating Home Bean Pot Review & Giveaway

I purchased a Veranda Home Bean Pot from Celebrating Home with the help of my new friend, Billie Snyder, back in early May. Billie is a designer for Celebrating Home.

I have to tell you that I am in LOVE, yes I said in love, with this pot! It is the most versatile thing I have in my kitchen (and my tiny kitchen has a lot of stuff in it).  Here is the pot that I have sitting in my kitchen waiting to be used every day.

I have had my Bean Pot in use for all kinds of things. I made dinners in this baby AND desserts and I’m looking at some recipes for breakfast! I have used it in the oven AND the Microwave.

I have to admit I was never a real fan of cooking in the microwave, but I made a dark chocolate, cherry lava cake not once but I think 4 times now in the last month and a half in the microwave, and it's a WINNER. My daughter has asked for this more than once because it is so fast and easy but oh so tasty!  And just think about how great it is to put a delicious meal on the table without having to really heat up the kitchen (yes the microwave meals give you that option too), see I'm learning, I'm learning.  The microwave and Celebrating Home Bean Pots - perfect together!

I’m even starting to collect the recipes that Billie has posted, as well as looking through my cookbooks so that I can use it even more!  I told you I was really in LOVE with this pot!  We also have our own group on Facebook that you are invited to join (just request) where we share all kinds of recipes we make in our Bean Pots.
I have also been working with Billie to be able to offer some wonderful surprises for you.  We will be giving away a Bean Pot!  Celebrating Home has such great looking Bean Pots - I almost wish I had gotten more than one for myself.  Now I love my pot, but they just have so many great looking ones!

First, if you want to make a purchase totaling at least $50, on anything in the Celebrating Home’s Online Catalog by emailing Billie, she will give you a 10% discount on your purchases.  Once you are on her page, click Shop my Virtual Catalog to open the current catalog.  You can make your purchases from today through the end of July - as much or as little as you want.  (Just remember over $50 and you get a 10% discount).  This is so awesome of her - don't you think?

Bonus time already
Take 20% off all Stoneware Purchases - Celebrating Home July Stoneware Sale!

Win it!
In addition to what is on the Rafflecopter entry form today, you need to keep coming back for "new" bonus entries.  You just never know what new items might be added to the giveaway.  Now this isn't promised, but if my GFC followers were to get to 1300 or my Facebook Page got to 2,000 followers,  I would just HAVE to add another prize to this giveaway.  I think that would be fair - don't you?

This giveaway is open to Continental US readers only - sorry but it's a shipping thing (well that and this is the company's shipping policy).  Wait for Rafflecopter to load (sometimes it is slow to load, but then quick and easy to enter)

Happy Canada Day

Today is July 1st!  And if you are Canadian you KNOW what that means.

Happy Canada Day!

For those who don't know what Canada Day is (its kinda/sorta like the US July 4th)

On July 1, 1867, the British North Americas Act created the Dominion of Canada as a federation of four provinces, known as the Confederation of Canada. On June 20, 1868, the Canadian Governor General proclaimed that Canadians should celebrate the anniversary of the confederation.
July 1 became a statutory holiday, known as Dominion Day, in 1879.

In 1967, Dominion Day events became more widespread and July 1 became popularly known as Canada Day. The date was also officially known as Canada Day since 1983.

Now because it falls on a Sunday, it won't be "officially" observed until tomorrow
but its still Canada Day!

I hope it is a wonderful day for all my Canadian readers.
