A Final Tribute to our Military - Angel Flight

This one made me cry the first time I saw it AND every time I have viewed it since.

I've seen many comments about why people in this country have the right to do some of the things that they do or say.  Some of those things may make your blood boil (it does mine) but some very special people continue to work towards keeping that right for us the citizens of the United States.   We never thank them enough - ever.  No I'm not talking about members of the Congress or Senate or even the President of the United States.  I'm talking about the members of OUR Armed Services.   Those men and women who are there to keep us safe from all things that are trying to take those freedoms away.

Unfortunately sometimes their service, their job, requires the ultimate sacrifice.  It is not the outcome they would choose, but they accept that it is a possibility of the job they have chosen.  The following is the final tribute given to these exceptional men and women when they have given that ultimate sacrifice.  I had not seen this video before - but just knew that others needed to see it as well.

Please don't let this be the only "thank you" for a military member - thank them for their service BEFORE it ever comes to this.  But lets also work towards a peace - where these flights are no longer required.

Angel Flights are the U.S. Air Force planes (C-130's) used to fly home our Fallen Soldiers.
Angel Flight is their call sign.
Angel Flights have top priority in U.S. Airspace to other standard military flights.

I come from a military family, I have family in the military now. I can't thank our military enough for what they do for us. Thank you so much for sharing this and reminding others that the cost of our freedom is not free.

I too come from a military family and I am an Air Force Brat. This video is my favorite tribute to fallen heroes. I had a nephew who did two deployments to Iraq and was so afraid he wouldn't come back. But, I know now that he would have been treated like the hero he is to me on an "Angel Flight". God bless the people who fly these young men and women home to their families. I know it can't be easy sometimes. But just know that I for one am grateful to you for what you do. Thank you very much.
